- Karen G6 contributionsGin WorkshopWhat a brilliant night. We got to learn about how Cuckoo gin came about and how it’s made. We got to make our own gin too. Jack and the team looked after us and did a fab job. Really enjoyed it. If you like gin, you’ll like this!Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 October 2023

- PDuxyLancashire, United Kingdom3 contributionsGin Tasting NightAttended with a group of friends. Listened to the story of Brindle Distillery and Cuckoo Gin, which was fascinating and made you so proud to be from the area and support such a fabulous business. The people are clearly very passionate about what they do, and truly value the support for a local business. The evening consisted of trying the 5 main gins, understanding how the gin came about, the naming of it, the branding and the flavours. What to mix it with and then enjoy with your companion, with good time to have a chat in between gins. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We will be back and cannot recommend enough.Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 18 November 2023
- Georgina K1 contributionDefiantly worth booking, great location and excellent value for money.Lovely set up tucked away in brindle. Was good to get to know the history of how cuckoo started. We had a fantastic evening trying their gins, with mixers, and learning about their products and methods. The hosts were knowledgeable, friendly and fun. We also had a great time with the other girls on our table. Might need even more cheese and bread to soak up the gin!!! Thank you to you all.Visited December 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 17 January 2024

- ClanesChorley, United Kingdom11 contributionsFantastic Christmas night out with friendsHad a fantastic night with a group of friends, although there were groups, couples that were also enjoying the evening. Great singer for entertainment and dancing. Table service meant no long queues or stress at the bar and charcuterie boards/snacks to compliment a wide range of drinks - not just gin! Definitely booking again next year for our Christmas girls' night out and will try some of the events during 2024.Visited December 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 17 January 2024
- Nina S1 contributionGreat night out, would highly recommendThe live music events are well worth the money. We have been to 2 now and your table is allocated, you have your own waitress / waiter who tends to your every need, and they often have a local food van outside serving anything from Pizza to Greek food. Again your waitress will take your order and bring it to your table and is always delicious. They have special cocktails for each event and it is a great atmosphere. people will get up and dance and the singers are very interactive with the audience I would highly recommend, it really is a hidden gem - well done guys! keep up the good work and keep that New Zealand Sauv on the menu :-)Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 17 January 2024

Did a gin making experience and the staff were very knowledgeable and informative. We also sampled every one of the gins that they make with matching tonics. We got the virtual distillery tour as a gift, and although we live nearby we’ve never done the actual tour.
It was really informative and we had all the gins delivered so we could “drink along”!
It’s a great story with hosts who are clearly very passionate about the brand and products.
Very much looking forward to being back in the Nest, but what a great effort Brindle Distillery have made during lockdown to keep customers supplied with excellent gin :)

I cant recommend this place enough, if you love Gin then this will take that to a whole new level.
From the attentive service from Oliver when you walk through the door to being served with a fabulous array of gins throughout the night by Mark and a great commentary from Tom. It had it all. The gin they have produced here is second to non, a truely locally sourced and homegrown product, and this really shines through in the presentation. You can see the love the team has for this brand. We will certainly be back. Thank you so much for such a warm and welcoming evening.

What a great night out - A visit to the distillery, gin tasting, gin making and nibbles - all with 2 great hosts for the evening who make it a really fabulous night. When I initially booked the event with my friend I thought it was very expensive, However having been and had a fabulous evening and made my own bottle of gin to bring home I came away thinking it was money well spent. Fabulous fun for everyone

Myself and my Mother and Sister in law did the workshop here on Friday (31-07-20) and it was absolutely brilliant! Mark and Tom were great, they were very friendly and gave us a good laugh (just what we needed after everything going on so far in 2020) as well as teaching us all about gin, what could be better! We learnt all about the different gins (and a bit about the run and vodka too) and the story behind each one which was really nice, we had a delicious cheese board and got to make our very own gin with guidance from the professionals based on each of our own tastes (I was so happy with my gin, it tastes sooooo good, if I do say so myself haha). I would 100% recommend paying a visit to do either a workshop/tour or to visit cuckoos nest once its back open. One of our favorite places for sure!
Also, to put peoples minds at ease, it was very clean, everything was sanitized and well spaced out so we didn't remotely uncomfortable or unsafe at any point, one of the best nights we've had in a long time so hank you very much guys!

We really enjoyed the workshop - informative and fun. The workshop comprised tasting (of all four gins produced by the distillery), a talk about the farm and its journey into producing gin, and the opportunity to distill a gin to take home - using a personal blend of aromatics. A relaxed atmosphere and always a good thing to come home with something you have created. Very drinkable too! Thanks to the team there who spoke with such passion about their product are such brilliant champions for local artisanal produce and small business.

My son bought us the tickets for my birthday. We went along not knowing what to expect and had a great night. We were given 5 gin and tonics each, chosen for us by the distillery staff. We also had talks and were shown slides about the distillery which were quite entertaining. Listen carefully because there's a quiz at the end! If I have any complaints it's that I felt a bit hurried drinking my gins. Five gin and tonics in 2+1/2 hours is a bit fast but the staff decide when you get your next drink. Wrap up warm too as it got cold in there. All in all we enjoyed the experience and we did come away with a bottle of their gin at a discount (they refill the bottle if you take it back for the same discount).

An absolute must, even for those that aren't (or weren't) big gin lovers. You will be after this experience! I bought this for my girlfriend as a birthday present in Feb, and only just managed to book in for April. When you're there it's easy to see why they're always fully booked... The farm, distillery, the people - it's all so lovely!
From being greeted by the brilliantly passionate and knowledgeable Joe, the tasty gins, the history, the story, and then the fun workshop, you'll enjoy every minute.
We even won best tasting gin on the night! Healthy competition added to the excitement.
We left our car there overnight to get our tipsy selves home... And loved the place so much we stopped for a latte and cake the next morning.
We'll definitely be going to other events there, and even give the workshop a go again some other time.
I'm glad we went, was a pleasure to meet Joe, and we're enjoying the gins we made (to take home), and their own cuckoo gin / rum we brought back.
Can't recommend this experience enough.
Thanks Joe.

It goes without saying that Cuckoo gin is amongst the best you can try, however the gin tasting session is best remembered for the passion of those involved in the production of the gin. They are all very knowledgeable and there passion for the brand and also to the location they operate in comes shining through, as does there commitment to operating ethically now and moving forward. We would heartily recommend there gins (obviously) and also the gin education nights - great fun all round

Went to the gin workshop last night and had a really enjoyable evening. Joe and Chloe had the event organised and Joe was very informative and passionate about the company, telling us it's history. Then we had the opportunity to sample 5 different gins paired with different tonics and learn how they are produced etc. I thought I would be out for the count after 2 but actually managed to consume 4 before giving in !
Then came the highlight of the evening, the opportunity to make and flavour your own gin. It was incredible fun, picking out which botanicals to use, how much to put in and weighing them out on the small scales - believe you me after several G+T's this was an effort in itself., and then to put it through your own pot and watch it come out at the end to be bottled and tried by Joe for his verdict, before taking your own labelled bottle home.
Everyone was very friendly and it was a great night - would recommend, especially for gin lovers. Thank you.

If i book the experience for my husband do i have to pay if i go with him? ie... driver!
Written 6 August 2019
I would expect so as you would be experiencing the same as your husband unless you stayed in the car. I would suggest ringing them, very friendly and accommodating people.
