My grand daughter decided she wanted to become a Mormon several months ago, we were unsure but she was old enough to make her own mind up. We were invited to the temple for her baptism, it was the first time we had been there,...More

Not being a Mormon I have not been permitted to enter the main part of the Temple. It is a rather gaunt building surrounded by landscaping and planting which might be fine in Utah but is definitely not English standard landscaping.

The temple is a landmark that can be seen easily from the M61. The gardens are so well kept and beautiful to visit all year round. Such a peaceful place.

This wonderful temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a real landmark, easily seen from the M61. Surrounded by the most beautifully kept gardens which are open to the public giving the visitor a serene place to contemplate.

Took our Grandson into the gardens so he could see the the GOLDEN BOY as he shouts from the car every time we drive past. Every where very tidy and quiet. Only thing I couldn't work out from the web-site was if just "passing by"...More

Visiting from New Zealand and stopped by this amazing building. Had photos outside for no cost and enjoyed a lovely stroll around the grounds. If in the area it's well worth a visit. Only takes 5 minutes.

I live very close and often go for a stroll around the gardens. They’re manicured to perfection. The temple is not accessible to non members, but the exterior is still impressive. More than anything, members are very polite and courteous and make everyone welcome. A...More

You can walk around these gardens which are as good as any gardens you see at garden shows. It is a church garden so no place for children to run around but good for quiet reflection.

Sorry but I don't really know, there are train links to Chorley and you could take a taxi the short distance from the station to there. It might be best to contact the staff at the Temple, they must know the local area and... More
