It's £4 for a short trip! There is not much to do at Knott End unless you intend to go for walk along the beach or up the river. Service is reasonably frequent. If you have a car drive there via Shard Bridge and visit...More

Very windy day and choppy seas meant the ferry went across almost sideways today but docked fine and obviously used to conditions. It’s only the size of a small tug boat

An opportunity to cross the river and explore the village of Knott End, where there are few shops and cafes or walk the Wyre Way footpath.

Fares are £2.00 per person on the short 5 minutes or so crossing. Sailings every half hour during operational hours. Great way to save fuel crossing to Fleetwood.

living in Fleetwood and having friends in Lancaster this ferry is a life saver. It's very cheap and takes five minutes. Due to the ride it is best to know in advanced when you want to use the ferry as its not always possible
