Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Remember coming here 40 years ago. Not much has changed. The old mill seems smaller but my dogs enjoyed the river and all the little stone beaches we used to live as kids.

Easy car parking with picnic tables, walked down stream to the ruined mill and cottages and it was very quiet indeed. Gravel path and wooden bridges made it an easy walk.
Why oh why do SOME dogwalkers thin it is ok not to pick up dog poo and others bag it then leave the poo bag on the picnic tables, tree branches, the river or just by the path?
But for this it was a lovely expereince.

We took a picnic and some chairs and we able to sit by the water and let our little boy explore the beautiful nature. This place is a little hidden gem

Its a great walk if you have pooches who love water as nice and shallow. Parking very limited and tight and also a very busy and popular hotspot.

A very popular location for a pretty walk, or a picnic. We also saw people paddling in the stream - brrr …
Be prepared for no mobile signal so download any maps you need in advance if you plan a walking route that extends beyond the stream path, and also there is limited car parking so we’d suggest arriving early.

We loved our visit to Brock Bottom, My son and my pooch loved exploring the streams and wooded area, we walked on pathways shaded by the trees so we were cool. The only down side is the size of the carpark, its a little small for such a lovely attraction. We will definitely be going again.

A lot busier than I remember it 20 years ago but then again it was never going to remain an unknown place. Great for the kids, plenty for them to explore, will be going back again.

Great place for a walk with the family lots of shallow water for the kids to paddle in and the dogs loved it , There’s free parking and a picnic area , best to take a blanket so can set up your own area if the picnic tables are all full.
