the admission fee is massive and when your in theres nothing to do and leaves the whole family disappointed.

Lovely place to take the kids great scenery nice and clean. We enjoyed our walk around the castle. Definitely reccomend to families that want to have a relaxing day out with the kids.

Staying in Ashby overnight, we made a beeline to visit the local castle. Large interesting ruin, with lots of grounds for the kids to run around in and burn off energy. You can climb the still standing tower, and explore the tunnel (warning it echoes!)....More

Can't remember the review but since i only live about 10 miles away i am well aware that the sea is about 70 miles away! :)

That's subject to variation year to year and on the English Heritage page for the castle in question. Currently £5.10
