    Bins required!
Beautiful views and lovely walks with our dog. However this was spoilt by discarded poo bags everywhere. We didn’t find a single bin, litter or dog poo, anywhere. Surely there could be a a bin in each car park, at the very least. Ps We took our poo bags home!

Pleasant experience at Peach House Restaurant
My wife and I bought some plants from the garden centre, followed by a meal at the Peach House Restaurant. We found the staff to be pleasant, the service was quick, and the food was good. I noticed an earlier review by Bubble, dated February 2024, was less complimentary. We were more than happy both with the price and the service. The only thing I would slightly agree with Bubble about are the blinds attached to the roof (I don't recall them being curtains). They perhaps had seen better days. However, weirdly, they added to the quaintness of the place. Not everything has to look brand-spanking new all of the time.

    Sooooo Beautiful
This place was recommended by a friend and.... Absolutely beautiful. We went for a walk around the whole area on New Years Day to kick start getting out more. Since then we have visited regularly and just love to see the change in seasons. Shame you can`t walk in parts of the grass though.

Very disappointed, went into cafe sat down and witnessed a member of kitchen staff in the back telling a colleague you need to listen to customers (Very Loud).
Also, another member of staff came out to speak to a couple sat behind us as their order was not what they requested.
The member of staff became argumentative towards the customer simply because the toasted sandwich came out not toasted.
The kitchen had burnt their toast which was taking more than 15 minutes to prepare.
The member of staff said that the customer did not ask for their item to be toasted, then the member of staff said after the customer mentioned she always asks for toasted sandwiches, the member of staff was so adamant that the customer was wrong.
Extremely bad customer service & rudeness which wasn't necessary.
Also, we asked for a price on garden furniture, the price had been rubbed out couldn’t make it out, for all we knew any price was given to us.
Second thoughts of returning back anytime soon, usually a pleasant afternoon, sadly not this time.

Worst food ever !!!
We had a beautiful walk all around the grounds absolutely stunning views went to the garden centre it’s ok little pricey for some stuff, then we had a coffee and food in the garden restaurant well tbh it’s very dirty in there the staff are half with it, very very over priced food and the quality of food is awful how it stays open is behind me I’m sure the council haven’t checked the place for food standards or quality food how they can charge these prices to sit underneath mould curtains that they have attached to the roof is shocking most definitely let the whole experience down 100% needs closing down cleaning up and looking at prices and what food they serve !!!!!

Found this place easily, it is well signed. Large car park. A few shops and a cafe and a garden centre. Nice to walk by the river. The church was open and worth a visit as it’s very old and very beautiful inside. The lady at the church was very knowledgable and chatty, which enhanced my visit.

Have been here a few times, very peaceful walk around the reservoir. Well worth a visit. Plenty of car parking, nice children's play area and lots of space for a picnic. Small café serves snacks and drinks, ice-creams etc.

How is a car parking charge of £2 justified when there is ample parking for the garden centre and the church is National Trust this should be free for NT members.

Garden centre ok. Cafe was terrible. Over an hour wait for over-priced food. Long que to get served. No jam for scones they had ran out!! Tables not cleared and split food not cleared off the floor.
Best bet is to take sandwiches.
