Nice little park but take your own food
Sep 2021 • Family
Been here a couple of times now and the food seems to have gotten worse. High prices for little. Tried out the hot dogs today and oh my they were so bad. Dry bread that had split and Sausages that were way over cooked and split. Chips were obviously cooked in old oil as was covered in black bits and advertising hotdogs with mustard but they don't have mustard. . The rides are fab for the younger kids but the theme park could seriously do with upgrading especially for what you pay on the door to get in.
Staff on the rides were really welcoming and friendly but staff on food services were not happy and couldn't be bothered to put any effort in which is a shame.

Definitely return.. brilliant for smaller kids
Aug 2021 • Family
Visited today and was surprised how little we had to queue for things, it being Bank Holiday during summer holidays.
My kids are 8 and 4 and after spending a lot of money going to Alton towers earlier in the summer, we were looking for somewhere easier for them to get to everything and spend less time queuing. Twinlakes did not disappoint! They were allowed on most rides (4 year old is just 110cm) and the soft play and outdoor play areas kept them busy for ages.
We did pre book the splash park, it was very cold and the slides very slow they didn't want to stay in there for more than 20 mins. Didnt matter as there was so much else to do! Great value for money.

Excellent day out
Aug 2021 • Family
Excellent day out for younger children. A 9 year old and 4 year old had so much to choose we didn't have time for everything. I loved the fact it was amongst trees and bushes, not just walkways round ride after ride. Not run down as others say rather has a rustic quality.
Toilets could do with cleaning during the day. Food i can't comment on as i always take a picnic.
Staff lovely and patient with the children
Only thing i would say is they could do with more signposting it was a bit difficult to know where you were and how to get where you wanted to go.

Great Family Day Out
Aug 2021 • Family
If you’re a thrill seeker then this isn’t the place to visit but if you’re a family with younger children then it’s ideal. As previous Merlin Annual pass holders we were looking for somewhere different to go and for the price Twinlakes didn’t disappoint. Our 8 year old doesn’t go on many rides at other theme parks but here he ventured on everything. As for other reviews that say the park was run down I totally disagree. Compared to many other theme parks we have visited then this theme park was clean and tidy. Lovely seating areas near the rides with lovely planters filled with flowers and plants. There was also an indoor picnic area which was great (no wasps around like at many other places). The splash pad was fab too. You do have to book this prior to your visit but it clearly tells you this when you are booking. We went bank holiday weekend and although I was expecting to queue we didn’t really. The staff were polite and always ensured the ride was as full as could be (following Covid guidelines) asking if there were any riders riding in pairs/solo if spaces, again not something all theme parks do. This ensured customers got onto the rides quickly and weren’t frustrated seeing empty seats! All in all a fab day!!

Awful Day
Aug 2021
What an awful place this turned out to be. First the queues are not overly long but the pace at which they move is glacial. We spent so much of our time at the park just waiting in short lines while the staff slowly wandered around without any real care. There seems to be no real interest in keeping any kind of Covid safe environment. Social distancing is non existent but there are hand sanitizer bottles at ride entrances. The toilets were vile and the porter loos outside had no hand washing facilities. The splash park was the biggest let down. You have to book slots online which led me to believe it would be less crowded, but I was wrong. The place was so crowded it was unpleasant. The was not enough seating for the adults so many just stood around the edge. My son managed to go down 3 slides in his hour slot, the rest of his hour was spent in a queue. I will not be visiting again and I cannot recommend it.

Ok I suppose
Aug 2021 • Family
It was ok I suppose but we were expecting a heck of a lot more from the Twinlakes 'experience' for what we paid (pushing £70).

The place is clean (apart from the toilets) and fairly well kept. Some of the rides are quite rundown and shabby and whilst there I only observed two ride operatives spraying down handle bars and seats in-between riders.

The food.....hmm...take a picnic. Overpriced and underwhelming.

Can't really say much more than that....it was alright.

Shabby & tired, rides closed for a spot of rain!
Aug 2021 • Family
We visited this park as a family of 4 paying £77 for the privilege. The weather forecast wasn’t particularly great but as we had prebooked the tickets we had no choice but to attend. Within minutes of entering it started to drizzle and all rides were closed with ‘rangers’ telling us to head for the soft play. It drizzled on & off all day and every time there was a spot of rain the rides were continually closed. Allowing families to queue for a ride only to close it when it’s your turn just isn’t right. We’ve been to other family parks and this has never been the case before, it’s England! You put a raincoat on and carry on. A park ranger later informed us it’s because some of the rides are actually indoor rides. Whether this is accurate or not I do not know but it’s what we were told.

Long wait for food despite being second in the queue, expensive and not great quality.

I honestly wouldn’t bother, for the price you’d be better off going to somewhere more professional and established. I’m only giving a 2/5 as the staff were helpful & polite.

Unfortunately a let down.
Jul 2021
Such a shame, this could be an amazing little place but it is run down and the customer service is poor. As other reviews say, everything is shabby looking and inner buildings are dark and just don't give off a clean vibe. Lots of rides closed or unattended when we went as well as the farm part with no animals in at all. If it had a cash injection or was taken over by new management I would be inclined to go back as localish to me but until then I am going to spend our hard earned cash on more customer friendly parks.

Really disappointing
Aug 2021 • Family
Here with two ten year olds. Everything is really tired and shabby looking. Very little for older children. Main attraction is splash park but you have to book a slot for this when you book online. I didn’t realise this and told when I arrived all slots gone which is appalling as they’re still charging same amount! Staff at reception were really quite rude and unhelpful. Lots of areas closed and all rides still at significantly reduced capacity due to social distancing and still sanitising but they’re letting high numbers into the park so seems pointless. Just means huge queues and packed picnic areas. Really disappointing.

Top Dollar!
Aug 2021 • Family
What a great day we have had today at Twinlakes. We took our 4 year old and 1 year old and usually when we go to theme parks we struggle to find much for our 1 year old to do but this park has a brilliant selection of soft play areas (we found 3) and lots of large outdoor play areas and many rides for our 4 year old as well as the farm animals. So much to do but also felt less busy and hectic than other theme parks we have been to. Really clean and tidy, tables being cleaned as soon as you leave in eating areas and ride seats and handles Being sprayed frequently. I t looks like the park is being updated in the farm areas which shows that they are wanting to improve the park and experience for all. Well worth the price for the enjoyment of the whole family
