Best Pork Pie

Had a hand crafted pork pie, OMG it was delicious the crust was just super crunchy and the meat and jelly was sooooo tasty. Would recommend the hand crafted ones every time.

People rave about the hand crafted Pork Pies which are delicious, but it is a 'proper' bakery too with a good selection of artisan breads. The corn bread is excellent and stays moist for a good three days in the bread bin. Try it.

The humble pork pie is king in Melton Mowbray. Dickinson and Morris provide artisan pork pies with the opportunity with pre organised raised pork pie making. The store has 2 sides-one with local sausages and meat and the other better known selling: pork pies, Melton hunt cakes, stilton and other local cheeses. There is also the opportunity to buy local... They treated us to a fabulous pie making session and chat through the history of Melton Mowbray pork pies, and best of all we made our own pies! We had a really great time, learned a lot and will definitely spend more time and money there in the future, even if it comes at the expense of our waistlines!

A flash from the past. If you like a superb Pork pie this is the place to buy them. They have several sizes on offer, the ones in the red wrapper are machine made but the best in my opinion are the ones in the white wrapping they are hand made. They all tast delicious whichever ones you choose. In addition... More

Thank you for your kind comments. We are open Monday - Saturday 8am-5pm. Being a true market town Tuesdays are a particularly good day to visit Melton Mowbray. Lots to do and see not only in the street markets throughout the town centre, but also at the extensive Livestock market where sheep, cattle, fur & feather are auctioned off ...... More

Arrived early for the Food Festival so popped in to D&M's on the way. Reminded me of a good old fashioned butchers but with a modern twist. No doubting the quality products on sale from traditional pork pies to those topped with Stilton or apple. Sausage shop next door looked just as inviting. Worth a visit when in the area.

Worth paying a visit; it's renown for its pork pies which takes its name from the town. I also bought some chutney to complement the pies; the real ale chutney is definitely worth a try.

As the title suggests the pies are superb. There is a café on site as well as a shop which is a bit like an upmarket Greggs (I mean that as a good thing).

Visited last week on short stay to Melton. Pork pies brilliant, lemon drizzle madeira cake excellent, steak and ale pies a triumph of pastry over filling! Our advice is to sick to what they do best and forget the steak pies.
