Nice clean pool. Friendly staff, who keep a good eye on things. Nice looking cafe, good prices, but we didn't get anything to eat. Pool temp fine. Pool much bigger than I was expecting. The biggest outdoor pool I've been in, with a nice well kept grassy area to have your food in the sun.

As ever The annual visit to Bourne pool was great , huge pool with plenty of space and clean water. Blue sky and the breeze in the trees made it a wonderful experience and plenty of areas to sunbathe and warm up after a refreshing dip. The pool is 24 degrees so cool but not cold and there seems little rush once you are in you can relax as long as you like and open 1030 till 6ish at the moment so plenty of time . It's a very short season so did get busy later but still lots of room. Handy cafe on site for hot drinks and chips . Well worth a look round Bourne after it's very pretty with amazing floral displays and if still got energy do have a walk round the nearby woods or the very well looked after park .

I don't recognise this lovely place from the negative comments that have been left. Firstly the staff are very friendly and helpful, the lady at the kiosk is a real gem and I can recommend the hotdogs, delicious. Yes there are a few leaves about but the pool is next to park with mature trees. I found the changing rooms and toilets spotless and the surrounding gardens very well looked after. I would rather visit this charming pool than a modern corporate run indoor 'leisure facility'. I have only just discovered this pool but I shall visit as often as I can this Summer, well done!

I’ve been to this pool once after emailing them to ask directions, where best to park, and how to enter the site. They replied to the email quickly and clearly. I went for the trial early morning session so can only really give feedback on that session. The two lifeguards were friendly and approachable. The changing rooms were very clean for an outdoor pool. The pool is heated, which you can feel in certain places (i.e. near the water inlet) as water loses heat quite readily it’s impossible to get an outdoor pool at constant temperature all over. I went at 6 am and it was by no means freezing cold, actually quite warm for a cool morning. Yes there were some leaves in the pool, but it’s outdoor without a roof so I completely expected it. The deep end is closest to the changing room, which wasn’t very obvious - it was only looking the depth painted on the side of the pool that told me it was the deep end. There is a lot of seating and benches surrounding the pool. Plenty of bins dotted around (at least 7 bins). Possibly the only downside (hence 4 stars) was the shower - there’s only 1 shower in the ladies and it’s on a sensor that apparently is a bit temperamental, however it’s fully functional and pleasantly warm without being too hot. Would definitely visit again, hoping the early morning sessions become regular. And the price is fantastic - only £3 for the early morning swim!

Visited here thinking it would be good. The pool was ment to be heated and it was freezing. Couldn't stay in for longer then 2 minutes. Staff looked bored and like they didn't want to be there. Pool was dirty. The only good thing was the showers were hot! Big disappointed not worth the visit!

Revisited Bourne outdoor pool en route back home, after some days away. It had only opened the week before. This old lido has a real history and is a fabulous facility - I wish we lived nearer! Changing rooms and shower, small refreshment hut. Temperature felt quite cool to us (24 deg.) but definitely authentic and far better than swimming indoors. Big enough to accommodate quite a few swimmers.

Went on a sunny day but it was spoilt by the pool temperature, it was absolutely freezing. Its supposed to be heated but if it was you could not feel it. Both grandchildren we're shivering and this is in July! If you want to go swimming in Bourn go to the leisure centre.

The ideal pool for our wonderful summer, cool clean water and loads of space, great for families or a proper swim anytime , it is outdoors so on windy days there may be a few leaves in there but that's the joy of outdoors swimming and they soon get removed by the filter.

Visited with my two grandaughter's yesterday, i have to say the pool was full of leaves at opening time, i am sure the pool had not been cleaned that day, down the deep end there was green on the bottom of the pool, the area surrounding the pool was also full of leaves and melted sweets on the slabs, it would benefit from a good sweep and hose down. The toilets and shower's were dirty with only one shower. One of my grandaughter's today has been ill overnight with D&V not saying it is connected but a possibility. Will not be visiting again until its had a good clean.
