About
Docks Beers is a craft beer brewery, taproom and beer shop in an old Church near Grimsby's famous Docks. Our brewing is inspired by our location and the hard work ethic of dockers past and present. We brew our beers on an exhibition brewery which is in full view of the taproom. Visitors can watch the brewers hard at work while they sup a pint chosen from a number of Docks Beers on tap, or a selection of real ales on handpull brewed by our sister brewery Axholme Brewing Co. We also stock a range other brewery's beers, wines, gins, cider and soft drinks. We have snacks - crisps, nuts, cured meats and pickled eggs. If you fancy something more substantial we have a wood fired sour dough pizza menu from Tredici who will deliver pizza to the taproom. Brewery tours and beer tastings are available on the first Saturday of every month. There are four tours 10:30, 12:00, 13:30 and 15:00. Tours must book in advance via our website. Our off-licensed shop sells beers and merchandise to take away.

    Short but very Sweet
We arrived early for an event in the same building, and popped in for a quick drink and something to eat. The Donkeywork IPA was excellent and we ordered food from the excellent Mockingbird Street Food menu which is ordered and collected from a container next to the bar. The service was faultless. We would definitely visit again when we next visit Grimsby.

One of the best brewery tours!
Excellent tour of the brewery and the live venue, Docks Academy. Ben was very knowledgeable and engaging throughout. Highly recommend a visit as for £20 per person it was excellent value for money.

    Amazing staff
Amazing staff and an amazing venue! Following a family member visiting docks beers for the Tom Meighn event on Friday evening, a few too many delicious pints was drank and unfortunately meant they had to leave the event early. I can not thank Lee Burton (security) for ensuring that the member of my family was safe and was well looked after. All of the staff go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy and having a good time but most importantly they are forward thinking, attentive and passionate about their work. Again a huge thanks to Lee for the help :)

Genuinely one of the best events to do in Grimsby, Ben & Mike took us through the steps of creating a beer & gave us plenty of samples! I really enjoyable experience, highly reccomend to anybody looking for something to do in the area!

Ordered some beer for a friend in Wales, product great, he loves the names and how I can relate some to my childhood and love of GTFC, now it might have been me but the ordering of online left me when the order arriving to me in Norfolk despite putting the delivery address as Wales, paid by PayPal so wonder if this created issue, my point is £6.99 delivery and now I have to post on at my cost!!!! However he loves it

Good beers, friendly service, decent toons. Not the greatest location, sitting outside not exactly atmospheric is it's outside the town centre on a rough and shabby industrial estate/bins-and-deliveries side of a retail park. Not really their fault though, but outside not the nicest place to sit. Would still be 5-star review though, but for the available food option - Mockingbird really not great. Please bring back the loaded fries from the other people!

Huge fan of this place. Great to see some local beers taking centre stage. I sampled many a Low Tide Session PA which is now my new favourite.

Food was amazing and drinks also good. What really let this place down was one member of staff.
I asked before ordering food or drinks if they would be able to sterilise my breast pumping equipment in the microwave. It’s a bag which goes in the microwave for 3 minutes, it’s closed up so nothing touches anything and actually gives the microwave a clean. We are in this situation due to our baby being born extremely premature and we are currently living at Grimsby hospital with her. Nonetheless they said of course they would be able to, and asked if putting it in the staff microwave would be okay. They said they would bring it out.
My partner approached the bar to get some water for the dog bowl, the ‘manager’ who stood at the end of bar informed him she wouldn’t do it. He asked why and she said she wouldn’t. Confused, he said any other place we’ve been have been accommodating and said she would be at best be able to boil a kettle, but only once he told her we had ordered drinks and food..
It was very hostile. I actually wanted to go in a purchase another couple of drinks but didn’t due to this encounter. Such a shame because the food was really lovely.
