About
Rated #1 Brewery in Lincolnshire on Untappd, Docks Beers is Grimsby's only craft beer brewery. We are open to customers 7 days a week. Based in an old Church near the town's famous Docks, our brewery, taproom and shop are on the ground floor. Upstairs on the 1st floor we have Docks Academy - a live music and comedy venue. Our brewing is inspired by the graft of dockers past and present. We brew our beers on an exhibition brewery so visitors can watch the brewers hard at work while they drink their pints. Our Brewery Tours happen every Sunday - book your slot online. We have several beers on tap plus real ales on handpull. We stock other brewery's beers, wines, gins, cider and soft drinks. Our shop sells beers and merchandise to take away. Food is also available from our kitchen - award winning Mockingbird Streeftood - which specialises in chicken and vegan chicken tenders, wings, wraps, fries and shakes. Come visit us and see what all the fuss is about

I love the beers, enjoy the Mockingbird food but above all the friendly staff make the place for me. Warm and friendly welcome awaitsVisited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 January 2024

- Destination7614685 contributionsA jewel in the crown for craft beer and the area.Friendly welcoming and great craft beer. Its a must great venue that’s tucked away from the usual nightlife which is fantastic. Great gigs and entertainment on all the time and covers a broad church so there’s something for everyone. They run a drop in open house which is another service this business provides for the local community along with countless other projects they support. Docks beers is a business everyone should visit and support! William, Katie and the team keep it going and thank you for making the place such a fantastic place to come and enjoy.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 18 February 2024

- LynnCleggsWakefield, United Kingdom59 contributionsExcellent staff at a lovely little hideawayMy sister and I visited this establishment on Sunday afternoon and the first thing we noticed was the helpfulness of the staff. The young man behind the bar was great and he helped us to choose our beer because we were spoilt for choice, and we were both happy with our choices. The young girl helped us to sort out which bus we needed to get back to our accommodation. She was most helpful. The eatery outside looked to be very popular so we will defo give that a try on our next visit. Thank you. ☺️🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺Visited September 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 September 2024

We visited on our anniversary (it was the first time we had ever been to Grimsby).
Everything was impressive- the range and quality of the beers, the space itself (I believe the building used to be a church) and the buzzy but unhurried atmosphere.
I was especially excited to try a kveik beer for the first time, a style I'd read about but never seen on a beer list. Some of the beers were reasonably pricey, but not unfairly so- and the fact that you could order them in so many sizes made it easy to sample everything we wanted.
Oh- and the spiced rum, made in house was probably the best I've ever tasted. So great to visit a brewery that makes spirits too!

I have visited on numerous occasions. With the Husband, the kids and with friends and every time we have been made to feel very welcome by the fantastic staff. Not only are they friendly but extremely knowledgeable about their full range including guest beers.
I'm not a huge beer lover myself but I do really enjoy their Maritime Gin of which I obviously have a bottle at home as well.
We took a friend of ours to visit (he imports and exports craft beers) and he was very impressed with the range on offer.
As well as all of this some of the street food they attract to Grimsby has been outstanding so I would definitely recommend visiting on a weekend and staying long enough to eat.

I have visited with friends and family on a few occasions. We felt safe, secure and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed trying the different varieties of beers and ciders. I would definitely recommend a visit. Docks Beers is a new, upcoming and popular place to go. I can't wait to return especially now they have launched their own comedy nights too which a few of my friends told me it was one of the best nights that they had enjoyed in a long time.

Well i cant give this place and most importantly its staff enough praise.
From the moment you walk in it feels like home, and that's before you even get down to tasting anyone of the numerous beers available.
I cant wait for lockdown to end and be back in this wonderful, unique and characterful place where you also have the most helpful and courteous staff available.
Well done all.

A great choice of beers and a great atmosphere. Awesome street food vendors at the weekend, different each week. They often host comedy gigs and other live events which are worth checking out. The best place to be in town!

A fantastic brewery and bar run by a dedicated team. Spent a whole afternoon sampling their vast range of craft beers and guest beers. Every beer was excellent quality and very different, from sours to stouts. The staff couldn't be more helpful (thanks Stuart!) and we're very knowledgeable of their range. After lockdown this place will be an excellent venue for music as the building is huge. Fantastic day and well worth the journey.

Amazing staff and an amazing venue! Following a family member visiting docks beers for the Tom Meighn event on Friday evening, a few too many delicious pints was drank and unfortunately meant they had to leave the event early. I can not thank Lee Burton (security) for ensuring that the member of my family was safe and was well looked after. All of the staff go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy and having a good time but most importantly they are forward thinking, attentive and passionate about their work. Again a huge thanks to Lee for the help :)

Excellent tour of the brewery and the live venue, Docks Academy. Ben was very knowledgeable and engaging throughout. Highly recommend a visit as for £20 per person it was excellent value for money.

Popped in for a drink and something to eat with family. Tried the Low tide, a pale ale that I found light and refreshing on this very warm afternoon, others had the mango cider- a positive thumbs up on that also. Venue first class and some upcoming attractions were investigating.
Food is delivered by Mockingbird outside from their yellow converted container- once again I cannot speak highly enough as was spot on- Big Blue wrap with the maple and bbq sauce highly recommended.
Thanks for a great first visit, will use again for sure.

Husband and I struggle to get out with having young kids, but when we have the opportunity for a rare night out... Docks is the place we go!!! The atmosphere is so chilled and it's great having the brewery as the backdrop. The staff are super friendly.
We love our beer and pre-kids, often visited Bruges for it. It's so refreshing to be able to have access to amazing beers on our door stop - it really hits the spot.
The stouts are beautiful, Elbow grease is a personal favourite.
Oh and the food. Devine.
