We were in Long Sutton while walking from Holbeach to Sutton Bridge; overall, we were rather disappointed with the town, but the church made up for it. The Norman style architecture (round arches) show its age. Long Sutton having been a busy town in years gone by there is plenty in the church to look at - there was a census outlining the value of all the properties in the area.
The vicar was happy to talk about the building and made us feel very welcome.
If in Long Sutton again we shall definitely go back.

A lovely little place, nice tea room with lovely food. Some small shops with very helpful shopkeepers. We would like to visit again next year when the church flower festival is on. Church has an unusual tall wooden spire..

I visited this beautiful old church when I was in Long Sutton to catch up with my aunt who lives locally. Living in Australia we don't have such old buildings and church yards. It was wonderful walking among the headstones and seeing some that were more than 3 centuries old. The interior of the church was just as breathtaking with the beautiful leadlight windows. You must visit this church if you happen to visit Long Sutton.

Visit occasionally for special events and services. Can be cold in the winter months so wrap up well if attending an event or visiting. Not sure if doors are kept locked now when staff not in attendance.

Lovely old fashioned church - what churches should be like. We attended a beautiful Carol service the first Christmas we moved here from Kent. Then last Spring went to their annual Flower Festival. The flower arrangements were wonderful. The ladies work so hard to make these and there were many visitors, many had come by coach from quite a way away, some from Cambridge. They also serve a nice lunch in the church hall and had lots of goodies on stalls in the church - cakes, preserves etc etc - which were very good value. Well worth visiting and giving a good donation to. The churchyard is so attractive too with beautiful spring bulbs out at the moment.

My friend and I go every year travelling20+ miles to get there. We have coffee/ tea and a cake in the hall opposite the church when we arrive , then go to the church to see the displays then back to the church hall for a delicious lunch.provided by the local ladies.do not miss it, well worth a visit.

Beautiful old church, grade 1 listed, ramped access where needed, a peaceful haven. Churchyard has some Georgian well preserved grave stones, well worth a wander round and a nosey.
