I have payed a visit to North Lincolnshire Museum on several occasions, and overall, I was plesantly suprised. The museum is rather large, with two floors and numerous exhibitions, but the establishment is only interesting if you visit rarely. This is because there are not many frequent changes to the exhibitions, so if you go back too soon, you will... More

The museum is based on Oswald Road just out of the town centre which is within walking distance. There was free parking behind the museum which is handy. The museum itself has a range of local history artefacts and is housed in what appears to be an old dwelling of fairly substantial size although this has been adapted and extended... More

if you have never been before a must visit, it is a free attraction and very interesting if you rarely visit. however was quiet disappointed when a dinosaur exhibition was put on, my daughter has a 3year obsession with dinosaurs and when we saw this advertised it was a must visit, however left disappointed as the only dinosaur items were... when I went to the tourist office and asked for suggestions for activites for my 17 month old, I was really suprised when they suggested here but after a trip, I know why. There is an amazing under 5s room with a fantastic layout (very montessori) as well as a massive pit so that they can do they own historical... More

Great museum, much larger than it looks and full of fascinating items. There is plenty here, from dinosaurs to the walk into the past, with an old kitchen, drawing room etc to look at. The trays of artefacts kept my daughter amused for hours. This is one of our favourite places to visit. There are often children's activities to do,... More

This museum is brilliant and works on contributions. There is a fascinating array of fossils, and history surrounding the area, the war time with air raid shelter which comes with sound effects. My two grandchildren love the place, and we always see something new. Go visit, you won't be disappointed.
