Would have been nice to look round on our own. Unfortunately we were pounced on by the people ‘ in charge’ who talked incessantly. Perhaps there were things worth seeing, but we didn’t manage to see them. Don’t bother going.

This is a tiny museum but full of interesting objects. When we visited there was a special exhibition on the history of the Sharpes Seeds company which used to be a large employer in the area. The museum is staffed by very knowledgeable local people...More

This is a lovely little museum. Despite the small size it still finds space for a children's dressing up area. A good cross section of displays about local trades and crafts.

Although small this museum is very interesting, the friendly staff are a wealth of knowledge on the town and its history. The displays are changed every so often so it is worth revisiting every so often.

The only real drawback to this place is the lack of signposts. Once you do find, it really is worth it. Lovely lady as I entered made me feel welcome, and everything was neatly laid out and user friendly.
