    Gorgeous beach
Beach is excellent, well worth the effort. Filey itself is a bit of a disappointment, very few dining options, ones we tried were pretty poor. Promenade area run down and in need of some refurbishment, not really much to do. I live further north on the Yorkshire coast where options and quality of restaurants, bars and attractions are far better.

    Beautiful beach
Walked from Humanby to Filey on the beach. Absolutely beautiful day and tide well out. Dog friendly section. Was busy but plenty of space for all to enjoy. Just check tides times before you walk.

    Good dog friendly beach
Parked in west ave car park which is fairly big and walked down the slope to the beach. Once at the bottom of the slope it’s signposted dogs only to the right and no dogs allowed to the left. As you get onto the beach it’s always really busy, but as you walk along away form the slope, it soon gets nice a quiet. Great stretch of sand to wallk the dogs on just make sure you check the tide times as I’m guessing at high tide there isn’t much beach to walk on. Dogs always love it when we come here and recommend coming here to walk your dogs or just to chill with the family.

More the seafront, than the beach!
Always good to blow the cobwebs away on a morning. It was very misty, but still warm. Plenty of visitors even early in the morning - dog walkers, walkers, and even a dog obedience class on! A nice stroll and accessible to all.

Worth a visit after a day out trip
Beautiful clean sandy beach with lifeguards. Be careful when going down steps onto the beach as it narrow however there are slope too. Day was calm so wave are very low. However the water was amazing. Been a long time since in the sea and this place manage to go in the sea half up my waist. There is also paddling pool for young children to use. Relax for adult to watch by. There are plenty of foods and ice cream either side of the beach plus there is a fantastic woodland to walk if you fancy. You also go toys beach shop too if you forgot or have no bucket and spade for your kids. There is also colourful beach hut to hire between 20-40 depending the busiest and the area of your guts is locate The only downside I was not happy with is the toilet facilities. (At the end of the beach near woodland walk) Filthy and damage. It Need an upgrade badly. I couldn't tell you about the parking as we are under disability car park for free where we park however there are plenty of space but there is a charge

    Stunning beach
What an absolutely gorgeous beach, the sound of the sea is wonderful, hearing the tide as it comes in, I love it so much. The beach is very clean and there's lots of space. We visited filey in the evening, I would definitely recommend coming here if you love beaches. There's plenty of parking spaces, and disabled parking close by, also toilets, Disabled close to beach. There is rides and crazy golf close, resteraunt, bar, ice cream places, seems to be a good place for family's. I would definitely recommend filey beach.

BIG beautiful beach, much quieter than Scarborough
If you are looking for a quieter place with a great beach then go to Filey instead of Scarborough! When the tide is out the beach is massive! Loads of room for families to play. We arrived around 10am and the roads next to the beach were already filled. We ended up driving up a hill to a car park and we’re dreading the walk down to the beach and back up later! However the walk down was pleasant, a gentle slope through wooded path. Brings you right out on the beach. The car park also has a really great playground next to it, which was a bonus! The beach is lovely and clean, water clear but a tad cold lol. Couldn’t find many shells though, which my girl likes to collect. Along the path next to the beach there’s shops selling beach things, drinks and ice cream shops, chip shops and a paddling pool. The other end there’s a mini golf course, cafe, shop, arcade and small fun fair the other end of the beach. Beautiful beach, much quieter than busy Scarborough, I preferred it. Less stuff to spend money on and more space to play lol

    Always impressed
Another good visit to the beach on a surprising warm day in October. We went on the beech about 1:30!just as the tide was going out and enjoyed a few hours there. Plenty of free on street parking at this time of year helps encourage people to the town and there were plenty of beech cafes and shops open along the sea front as well. We went down to the sand near the beach huts just south of the paddling pool.

Fabulous, beautiful clean beach which is dog friendly. Certainly worth a visit the weather was kind to us, even on a rainy day the beach for us is always a winner.

Beautiful, clean beach with breathtaking views. It’s got everything you need for a lovely family day out but without the crowds and without being too commercial. It’s our favourite northern beach.

There’s rides for the kids, fish & chips, gift shops, ice creams , doughnuts/crepes, arcades.

We parked at country club car park which was easy enough. A big section of the beach doesn’t allow dogs which we preferred. There is another bit where there are allowed. Go to Filey beach, you won’t regret it. It’s our new Happy Place :)

This beach was not great, the water here was nothing like the beaches in Devon and Cornwall. The water didn’t look clear and my daughter came up with a painful itchy rash after coming out of the water!! It was some sort of water parasites that live in the sea!
We won’t be going back!

Filey has a beautiful bay and lovely sandy beach. It has a quaint town and picturesque tree lined paths to the beach. That's where the good bits end. You are best off taking your own food as everywhere shuts at 3.00 or whenever they decide they've had enough of tourists which by the manners of most staff is about 10 minutes after they open. The coble bar and bistro refuse to take a booking for 5 at 7.30 on a Friday night because that's too late, even though the sign says they take orders until 8.30. Thr Bay fish snd chip shop and cafe shuts at 3.00 just when the tide is coming in and people are leaving tbe beach looking fir food and drinks. They don't really care. Its unfriendly and unwelcoming and I can only surmise that they made a fortune early in the season and just wat all the hated tourists to sod off and just send the money instead.
