Great place bit quite pricey
Dec 2020 • Couples
This place is really quirky and it's nice that the old station building has been renovated. There are a few artisan shops and a cafe and a cinema. We bought a few wares from the brewery and bakery but the other shops are really quite expensive so being plenty of money if you want to shop. Pay and display car park is quite small so arrive early.

Stationary so you can’t miss it
Nov 2020
It’s an old station brought into modern times so you have to go and have a look. I think it’s absolutely wonderful.

Great place to visit
Oct 2020
The restoration and development of the old station has been exceptional. Large cafe area inside ( unfortunately had just eaten elsewhere ) and several interesting shops. Retains feel and some features of old station, including platform. Decent parking outside.

Good beer - great service
Oct 2020 • Couples
Loved it - completely made by the lady that looked after us.

We're camra members but not familiar with this brewery so lovely to have someone passionate and knowledgeable talking us through their ale, cider, hot chocolate and of course crisps!

Great place to have a comfortable nosey on other shoppers whilst you get samples from the lady in question and be metres away from the brewing process.

Thank you.

Mosaic workshop with Fiona Marston - highly recommended
Oct 2020
We had a really lovely day making several mosaic art pieces each. Everyone made at least one square coaster, circular coaster and medium sized picture frame - sometimes 2 of each, depending how quickly you worked.

There was a range of beautiful coloured glass, colourful small pottery pieces, mini beads in primary colours and loads of seaglass in greens/blues to work with. We were able to make some lovely pieces. The only slight issue we had was (due to small size of things we were working on) there was a shortage of smaller glass pieces to work with and we quickly used up all the lovely small pottery pieces. Fiona is aware of this though, for next time!

Fiona was always on hand to offer advice and guidance, but gave us full reign on our creativity! The workshop had such a lovely relaxed atmosphere and everyone got on so well. The group was small, max 5 persons at the moment, which made it more intimate. Cost was £65 per person with tuition and all materials included. Fiona was very flexible and we could of just kept on going, making more pieces, if we had wanted! We really enjoyed ourselves :-)

Good for a rainy day
Oct 2020 • Couples
We had a pleasant time. Their cake was absolutely beautiful! We seemed to have chosen badly with our food, as everyone else’s looked lovely, I really didn’t enjoy the crab bites. It was a nice visit for a rainy day and would love to return to the cinema

Amazing Food

A small but interesting place. The food in the Station Cafe would grace any upmarket City Restaurant. What a Find!

Excellent Watering Hole
Sep 2020
Visited whilst on the way to Raby Castle. Excellent food and drink in the old rail area with very friendly staff who were spot on with their track and trace records.
Good display of art on the gallery above.
