I have taken my daughter to the pantomime here for the past 3 years. It's fantastic. It's perfect for all ages. The theatre is lovely. The staff are always helpful and friendly.

A friend recommended the guided tour and was quite right. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting this, the oldest theatre in the country. The volunteer showing us round was very knowledgable and helpful. The tour takes about an hour (we didn't book, just turned up on the hour) and only costs £5, valid for a whole year. If you are anywhere near... More

Visited the theatre at the weekend to tour and also to later take in a show, thoroughly enjoyed both and very reasonably priced too! We arrived early for the tour (on the hour every hour between 10am and 4pm I believe) and had a lovely chat with the tour guides who are so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. There were just the... Visiting Richmond and saw this old working theatre and took the guided tour excellent!. Not for kids or those with walking difficulties but a great look back at the history of this old theatre and many not so pleasant facts about how visitors to the theatre 200 years or more ago were entertained but at a cost both in cash... Happened to be going past when we spotted people coming out and we called on the off chance it might be open and luckily it was.Had a very informative guided tour at a very reasonable price and got to see all areas of... one the last surviving theatres if not the last, tours are very good, if you do go and see a show I would advise to book and take a cushion. Well worth the visit

By chance we found that there was a tour of this historic building. Our tour guide,Andy White was excellent, he made the tour very interesting and informative. It is a wonderful old building well worth seeing.

Sold out gig! We could see why as Snake Davis and the band he was with were absolutely amazing! It was our first time in the theatre and despite the size, it was actually nice on how intimate the atmosphere was - we felt like VIP guests and not part of the huge audience atmosphere you usually get when you...
