The added advantage of the ice cream van on the beach makes this a great day out for all the family. Rock pools, beach walks, ice cream and the summer sun. Perfect day out. Did I mention ice cream on the beach.... :)

Fantastic beach, never seen my dog run so much, she absolutely loved it. Sitting area above beach and ice cream van visits too. It's just lovely.

This is a nice big beach especially so when the tide is completely out. Plenty to explore and places to play for children subject to weather and time of year. You have to park at the top of the road so this can be a...More

We LOVE Robin Hood's Bay, there is no other place on earth like it!! We return from Florida annually to visit here.

Done this on a whim as a little colder then expected. It really needs to be planned a bit better then that as its tides dependant. Go but go early and be prepared for a long, uphill walk at the end

Lovely beach when the tides out, there are loads of rocks and rock pools to look in and wander over. The beach is lovely for a walk.

We stayed a week in Robin Hood's Bay and went to the beach every day, either for a walk in one direction or the other, some rockpooling, fossil hunting, or sandcastle building. The combination of the tides and variable British weather meant that looked different...More

if you're lucky enough to get a sunny day this place can be bliss. Being the north of England that isn't always the case. The day we visited it was overcast but warm. The beach wasn't busy but we were only there for a stroll....More

No trip to Robin Hoods Bay (RHB) would be complete without a walk on the beach (subject to tides, of course). This is famously the traditional end point of Wainwright’s Coast to Coast walk. So, later in the day you may see tired walkers making...More

Hi there I think it would be possible to get a minibus down to the beach to drop people off. The icecream van parks on the beach so I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem getting down. The road I quite narrow and turning... More
