Rose was a very welcoming host and certainly knew her history and stories of RHB, we was staying in Smugglers in the bay and must admit slept with one eye open that night 😂. I’ve read a couple of the awful reviews on here and cannot understand why anyone would think she was rude , she was friendly, funny and very Courteous to passer bys making sure we didn’t get in anyone’s way. Highly recommend and at £7 a great price, having another walk round today to look at all the places she pointed out. Thank you Rose, don’t stop doing the walks because you are awesome.

On the evening of Thursday 10th June 2021 my grand daughters aged 10 and 15 walked their dog on the green near the museum and were just returning to the cottage that our family had rented, so close to the green that the ghost walk narration could be heard from within the cottage. The girls had the misfortune to bump into the ghost walk as they attempted to return to their cottage but the leader of the ghost walk shooed them, gesticulating with her arms and told them they had to go a different way. They explained that they were going home but were still shooed away. It was only when my ten year old granddaughter rang her dad that the ghost walk leader let them pass. They arrived home very upset. The following morning the girls and their dad met someone who had been on the walk, he said how rude the group leader had been and hoped the girls were ok. Its a privilege, not a right, to be able to walk the streets and alleyways of RHB telling these ghost stories. The streets do not belong to the ghost walk!. The safety and well being of two young girls is far more important than a few made up stories. I would also add that as a family we all went on this ghost walk in 2019. The same leader was very short tempered and rude with children in the group on that occasion too. Everyone has a story, not just the ghost walk. We don't know anything about what people have gone through, or are going through whether they are children or adult. In a world where we can be anything, lets be kind. Shame on you, Ghost walk leader for not being more patient and kind.

I have no idea why you would make something up this bizarre and damaging. I remember two girls with dogs coming up the path about 50 yards away and seemed uncertain as to which way to go. I knew there was another way around so I casually waved them on to go the other way and it was done playfully. There was absolutely no situation where I blocked their passage or a child had to call their Dad in order to get past. I have no idea why you have written such a fabrication. None of this happened. I always keep the thoroughfares open for passersby. As for the accusation of being rude, I work with crowds all year round and make enormous efforts to be patient, kind and to take care of the wellbeing of the whole group. If this sometimes means I have to put my foot down in order to do this, and this is perceived as rudeness, I can only apologise.

My partner and me had spent the whole day walking around the beautiful Whitby coast and made a quick return to Robin Hood's Bay to ensure we didn't miss the ghost walk on our last night. Thinking we could get in a sneaky drink beforehand, the tour guide showed up requesting money 10mins early. We went down to pay up so that we didn't miss our slot and the lady announced that no drinks were allowed. No problem! We were happy to bin them. She then announced that she was over capacity. Two kind ladies offered us their place as they would be back the next night. The tour guide kept their money saying she would remember them as they walked away and then still refused our custom. She awkwardly tried to explain in front of a number of guests why we weren't able to join her tour and announced that we will receive free entry next time!.... I find this unlikely as she cannot even remember to do a head count, not alone recall a couple of faces in the dark. Ended in total embarrassment, some tears and a disappointing end to our lovely holiday in Robin Hood's Bay.

I'm sorry, maths was never my strong point. But let's face it, there's nothing like a good cry after a few drinks.

I’ve been coming here for years and until now never done the ghost walk! Rose was great, a natural storyteller keeping kid and big kids entertained! We even visited some streets I’d never even seen.. or the coroners rooms! So glad we aren’t staying on that street 😳👻 great entertainment and stories. Well worth an hour of anyone’s evening whilst a staying in Baytown
