We chose this park as a mid point for families to gather and exchange presents prior to Christmas. Sadly we chose a very wet day, However we were able to spend time together and in the less wet times walk beside the lake. The café was open for take-away and we made use of this, the prices being reasonable and there was a little cover to shelter while we ate and drank. Despite the rain and mud the littlest of the group enjoyed the play area. Parking cost is reasonable, especially if planning an all day stay. Overall we liked what we saw and would love to come back again on a dry day to explore further.…

I am a regular visitor to the park to walk my dogs round up untill today it was one of our fave walks. They have been resurfacing the footpath all the way round the park , there are no signs to say it's not possible to walk all the way round due to the work .we walked most of the way round only to find the last few hundred yard closed of with no detour , so I tried another way only to get lost on a muddy wasteland with no way out . Surely they could have put some signs up on the car park ticket machines warning that you cant make it all the way round . …

Thanks Daventry Coucil! The country park was open but not the circular walk nothing on line to tell us this and full price parking!!! Not a place to go in lockdown if you want to walk round!

We go regularly here ; kids love feeding the ducks and playing in the massive play area located next to the car park . Only 3 miles to walk round the reservoir but please note : We had to go a little bit extra as we had walked all the way round with a 4 year old then the pathway was closed off back to the car park ( closed off for 12 weeks ) so if you follow the main road then go down this alleyway then through a couple of fields you can find yourself back in the car park . …
