Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow!! brilliant day out was invited to go along with my bestie for her birthday pressie which her son had bought for her, so glad she chose me. What a lovely host Glenda she is so knowledgeable and her obvious love for gin shines, lovely different gins that are provided whilst making your own recipe of gin are gorgeous and Glenda makes sure your glass is never empty!!

Fantastic experience at The Silverstone Gin School. I now have a much better understanding of how to make Gin and my own bottle which we made on the day.
Glenda our hostess really knew her stuff and was able to put everyone at ease so we could relax and enjoy the experience.
A great present or treat.

We bought the gin school experience for ourselves as a Christmas present last year and only just got around to using it this week now the kids are back at school. What a fabulous day to escape from everything and do something different. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, we enjoyed sampling lots of different Silverstone gins, ate a delicious lunch and made our own one off bottle of gin to bring home distilled by ourselves under the guidance of Glenda with our own choice of botanicals. Glenda was a fantastic host and teacher, she was incredibly knowledgeable and made us all feel very at ease and relaxed. We were one of three couples and we all had a fantastic time. Would definitely recommend booking a class to anyone and will probably return again soon for another go. I would definitely recommend leaving the car at home and arranging alternative transport if possible as there is no shortage of gin to enjoy. We drove in our car but we’re very quickly convinced to leave the car behind and arrange a taxi home 😜🍻🥂

We booked onto the gin school experience as a group of 4 friends to celebrate two special birthdays. I cannot recommend this experience enough , it was 4 hours of drinking, laughs , eating and learning. We were greeted by Glenda who has gin knowledge that is second to none and enthusiasm to match. She talked us through the distillery process as we made our own gin and helped us with support and advice. Glenda talked us through the basic ingredients needed for a good gin and then helped us make our own recipes. All the ingredients are displayed in jars on a large wall and you’re encouraged to try them out , it’s fair to say that we weren’t fans of frankincense… Steve greeted us with a delicious gin upon arrival and our glasses never ran dry throughout the whole experience. Steve kept the gin flowing which allowed us to try all the different gins that are made on site which were lovely. A delicious lunch was provided , along with more gin to drink whilst we continued to work on making our own bottles. The birthday girls left with their own bottles of amazing hand made gin This all took place in a beautiful, light , airy and comfy room. What a joy of a day. If you have a special friend or family member who you need a treat for then get this booked and obviously go along with them , it would be rude not to !

An amazing, fun and informative afternoon making and sampling a range of gins. The host was fabulous and really knew her stuff. If you’re in Silverstone then you should check out this beautiful distillery and the lovely folk who run it.

Absolutely the best experience day ever, and right on our doorstep.
From the moment we entered the building we knew it was going to be a fun day.
Our guide for the day greeted the assembled group of strangers like old friends, and with a warm smile started plying us all with gin. Ok, so it was 11:30am but after brief introductions and more gin, we were all settled down in the distilling room.
Facing the gleaming giant of the main still, each couple with our own mini still, surrounded by a kaleidoscope of botanicals, and we were off.
In a cross between a classroom and the gin equivalent of Willy Wonka's, our extremely knowledgeable guide led us through the history and the process of gin production.
With help, and like wizards we all started gathering mysterious botanicals to produce our own unique bottle of gin.
With the assistance of being offered endless gin ( soft drinks, beer etc also available) the group gelled, comparing notes as to who were being more adventurous.
With our stills fired up, It was time to break for a plentiful smorgasbord of lunch with our new found friends.
During lunch, our ever smiling and entertaining guide Glenda, (who possibly has the best job in the world), monitored our stills and educated us further in the science of gin production.
Its been many years since I discussed osmosis but this time it seemed far more interesting!!!!
And there it was, a bottle of our own unique gin. From novice to master distillers in a few hours.
All in all a sensational few hours of hands on fun education and laughter.
If you like gin, lots of it, or just want a great day out this is not to be missed.
A big thank you to Glenda and the rest of the team from Jim and Kathy.
