Great visit to Lilidorei with my 5 year old son, 11 year old nephew, gran and grandad. Adult tickets were a bit pricey though. A bit of a longer walk from the car park than expected however on arrival at the big Lilidorei gates my 5 year old was very excited. He was initially a bit apprehensive hearing the troll loud speaker voice from behind the gate. Lovely tunnel entrance thereafter although not through the big gates. Really impressive well built and very large play structure which was the focal point. A good variety of different sized slides with lots of walkways, bridges and towers to climb up, down and around. Lots of additional play features which both kids really enjoyed. My 5 year old loved the sandpit which was really clean. Nice cappucino from the muffin take away. Nice touch with the small order window being at a really low level which the lady explained was to reverse what children normally experience. Variety of lovely themed houses and the kids enjoyed looking through the windows to see inside which were all well decorated. My 5 year old was initially apprehensive with some of the scarier loud speaker noises at a couple of the houses but after some reassurance he was fine. He loved the noise of the doorbell at one of the houses, so much so he kept going back to press it giggling. Staff all very friendly and some were dressed up to add to the theme. The man at the trolls house was really good with the kids when they tried the star archery. Story teller was very good too. We got churros and chocolate sauce as a snack and they were very nice. The themed muffins were ok but very big. We spent over 4 hours at Lilidorei which was longer than I planned, but the kids were having such good fun that they weren’t in a rush to leave. We got combined tickets so also went to Alnwick gardens. They were beautiful with a lovely large fountain and smaller fountains as well as lots of lovely walkways. The kids had fun running through the water jets that kept spraying over the path. Overall we had a great day and we would definitely return. I would’ve given 5 stars if the Lilidorei houses had been a bit more interactive. The play structure and surrounding play equipment were excellent though.

Having taken my Grandchildren (12 and 9) we had an amazing time! The play structure entertained them for hours and I felt secure that if they got into trouble the members of staff would be able to help them.

They also loved going through the village to see all the clan houses and explained them to me with enthusiasm.

All the Secret keepers did a wonderful job engaging them.

I would highly recommend a visit to the whole family! We are looking forward to going again.

Our family of two adults, a 9 year old and a 7 year old returned here one weekday in July.

This was our second visit having visited last year. It's a beautiful structure and play area for the kids but sadly not fulfilling the potential.

A new addition this year are the sand pits which are better than the random games they used to have. The small houses are the same as before and if you don't have any context about what the story is, it's a bit random. You can peer into the houses but can't go in. The story time is pretty much the same - the staff are the ones that make or break it.

For a one time visit it's pricey for what it is - basically a play park.

Enjoy.

Our second visit to the most magical place. The staff are amazing and as we are lucky to be able to visit through the week we had lots time. Story time with Sarah was fabulous, so enthusiastic and had everyone involved. Jasmine and Yvonne were beyond incredible playing with our granddaughter we could almost sit back and just enjoying watching her have the time of her life. The endless cups of either slush or pop are marvellous after you have been running around and climbing the amazing play structure. I love the fact that there is no age limit so old grandma’s like me can enjoy the slides and magical walkways. Just watch your head as it is low in places. Thankfully we have a membership which enables us to go back whenever we want for the next 12 months as it can prove difficult to take a little person away as they are having so much fun. Thank you for a magical day and being so amazing.

Absolutely amazing place, magical and adventurous for any age. We have a 2 year old and a baby and find this place more than accommodating.
The staff are wonderful, welcoming and interact with the children. They change things up every month so you can never get bored! We love it that much as a family we bought a family yearly pass! 100% worth it!
Only thing I would advise is to take ur own food and drinks the prices are quite steep.
Only thing I think could make it an even better experience would be a feeding room- especially for wet days.
Everything they are doing is magical can’t fault it for a great family day out.

We'd seen the TV Programme with The Duchess building her dream of LIlidorei and so, as we were going to visit the garden we included the Lilirodrei ticket too. Some of the recent reviews are a bit negative - we thought it was fine. Let me explain, we are two 73 year old "adults". We did go on the slides - they were great. OK, it took a bit of effort to squeeze through some of the gaps on the way up and my wife didn't make the highest one because she had a problem with the walkways being seethrough at some points. I did the top slide - it was great!
Some of the houses did look a bit tired and yes you do need a bit of imagination now and then. We found all of the "actor guides" very chatty and helpful.
We didn't stay but the story telling sounded good.
We enjoyed our visit, we would have enjoyed it more if we'd seen it through children's eyes but our grandchildren are now grown up.
This place is not a video game but with some imagination it could be better than that.

We were really excited to go but found that it really missed the mark. I knew you couldn’t go into the little houses but the noises that were coming through all the speakers were like torture sounds! We went with a nearly 5 year old and 1 and a half year old and they found it very scary and I felt sensory overload - the sounds all overlap each other and don’t make sense. We were told there were going to be noises of the “villagers” talking to each other and expected to hear goblins/fairies etc but the noises were just distressing; lots of clanking, banking, hissing, crying, lost child noises; all very eerie, loud and very distracting. We were given a treasure hunt to visit all the little houses and work out clues but no signage for this so we kept having to go back and forward and the “treasure” the little one received for the effort was a little cheap bracelet charm. A little coin or something with the brand on it as a wee souvenir would have been better. I’ve not idea why the adults were charged so much and the kids were too young to enjoy the play structure - it was good and very big, but quite treacherous. Our eldest was worried because of the narrow and steep stairs throughout. Not for the faint hearted and definitely for older kids. We bought food which was overpriced and low quality - a hot dog, and potato spiral, 2 watery teas and a slushie - coating over £19, and we were all still hungry!
We also visited the gardens which was fantastic as always and made up for wasting our time at Lillidorei. I expected great things from this as the gardens and castle are brilliant and are full day adventures, this was a short lived experience which really did miss the mark on so many things; we won’t be returning to it.
