We loved the tour of the house n grounds. Unfortunately my gran was unable to fully see the house as no disabled access but she loved the grounds. The dungeon area was creepy, i loved it.

Although well off the beaten track, you will love how well this castle represents life many centuries ago. Definitely a touch and feel attraction and so much better for the attention span of children, not the typical National Trust.

We arrived and asked if it was national trust, English heritage or other as we are HHA as well. Was told no and paid 2X £8.50 as Oaps ticket no 298 and 299 after leaving we found it was HHA and we had been got!!?...More

No dogs allowed. The ONLY exception is for assistance/guide dogs. Please note that NO DOGS AT ALL are permitted near the Wild Cattle (No Exceptions).
