Came hear last summer and had an AMAZING time! The castle is much more like a stately home than I imagined and the library was awe inspiring. The amount of Harry Potter memorabilia in the shop is fantastic!! My son loved the archery (see the photo) We will be back

We spent a wonderful day last year with the kids. The location is great, the castle and the surrounding area beautiful and the kids had a lot to see and do. We found the staff to be quite attentive, informative and generally helpful. We would love to go back again and hopefully for a long weekend - as there are... More

We love Alnwick Castle and took the opportunity to attend their Burns Night in the Sanctuary Restaurant. We arrived and were greeted by our host and shown to our table. it was an intimate evening as the restaurant is not very big but all tables bar one were taken. The food was superb, not too much for each of the... More

We drove from Edinburgh to Alnwick Castle only to find it closes during winter, after all, the Duke and Duchess can't give you a 'warm welcome' in winter. But the view from outside is majestic, such that we can take 'awards winning' photos with just our android phones. No wonder Harry Ron and Hermione were all excited to return to... More

Our time was limited so we had to choose: Castle or Gardens. We chose the former and were delighted with what we found to explore. This castle is still inhabited by the current Duke of Northumberland and his family and we were told it is not unusual to see family members during a tour. We toured rooms the family obviously... I visited this magnificent castle last august and it was a superb experience. Great atmosphere, all the needed facilities from food to gift shops. Ideally, place for kids since they have the chance to be taught... magic tricks from Harry Potter's assistants...You can spend the whole day there. Not to be missed!!
