Great walking
Oct 2021
This is what comes to mind when you think of Northumberland beaches. The sea is clean and rough and the wind lets you know its there.
There were many walkers when we were there and many dogs. What a great way to spend a cou[ple of hours.

Wonderful beach for a walk
Nov 2021 • Couples
Parked in a small beach car park (free) on the north edge of Bamburgh and walked south along the beach towards Seahouses. A wonderful long Sandy beach backed by Dunes and with the imposing Bamburgh castle in view. You can see why this beach is popular with people enjoying their walks. Would certainly return again if in Northumberland.

We are so lucky to live 10 mins away from this amazing beach - dog walking is never a chore when you have this amazing feature on your door step

Cannot think of a better beach - but I have been to some where there is more sunshine.

As nice a beach as I have walked. Stunning expanse of sand - absolutely no rubbish. Great views of Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands.

Fabulous beach easily reached from a small car park
Oct 2021
Absolutely stunning Sandy beach which can reached from a small car park at the end of The Wynding. The beach is pristine and the views of the castle and Islands are quite breathtaking. Lovely sand dunes surround the beach and walking this gorgeous beach is a must. Can walk to Seahouses in just over an hour approx 4 miles.

Fantastic Beach
Sep 2021 • Couples
Park at the castle, will get full by the afternoon. Great historical elevated castle adds to the skyline, can be seen for miles.
Walk across the village green, coffee shop & portaloos if required, towards the glorious beach.
As good as all the other beaches in Northumbria. The walk along to Seahouses is stunning, takes about 90 mins. Enjoy the cafes & chip shops or pubs at the quaint Seahouses visit & either return via the same beach route or along the coast road.
Is a walk to rival any.
Is a must do.

Amazing large golden beach.

We walked this beach from Bamburgh Castle to Seahouses and back. What an expanse of sandy beach! Beautiful & idyllic. The width of beach is astounding. Golden sand. It is also very spotless. So many walkers, dog walkers, kite flying and horse riders! This walk is around 3 miles. Fully recommend.

There is a walk through the sand dunes but when you get to the other side you won’t be disappointed. Stunning beach we went on a glorious day with blue skies and blue seas. There are great views of the castle and it is a lovely beach to walk on. For those with dogs they were in their element. It was such a joy to walk along such an in crowded and natural beach

A wonderful stretch of coastline and a charming town.

Everyone is talking about 'staycation', staying at home for this summer’s vacation. We can all relate seeing as few of us will be holidaying abroad this year due to Covid fears. Fortunately, England (as with most nations) will have lots to offer the domestic tourist. I’ve always enjoyed visiting places of interest, especially in the U.K. I took some pictures of Bamburgh's coastline during my last visit, which I hope will inspire you to find your own staycation location, hopefully with golden, sandy beaches, blue skies and turquoise ocean.
