Very well signposted walk with some great information boards on route. It's a lovely way to see the town and learn about its history. It's not too difficult a walk either.

Berwick is a Georgian town, but a walk around the city walls enables you to visualise more of its history. Some of the houses which are situated close to the walls are magnificent and in a truly unique position. There are many information birds on the elk which explain their history.

The view out towards Tweedmouth, Berwick, the river, the North Sea and as far down the coast as Lindisfarne are outstanding. On a side note, definitely worth continuing the walk down to the lighthouse at the end of... More

This is well worth doing - even in part - as it tells you a lot about the history of the town and is very picturesque and interesting. These walls are the best of their kind in England and unique in all respects. The view is amazing and there are helpful noticeboards all along the route. In addition to telling... More

I really like the walks that go near the car park and the beach. The walks lead to near the castle and railway bridge.
