Lowry loved Berwick and apparently considered buying a house there. The trails takes the visitor around some of the most interesting places in Berwick and of course the places that inspired Lowry and which he loved and painted. The information boards on the trail are excellent and give details of the painting or sketch that Lowry did of that view... More

We had a great time walking around the Lowry trail and also enjoyed looking at one of his paintings in the Granary. Most enjoyable.

We arrived in Berwick after the Tourist Information office had shut and weren't aware of this trail until we stumbled on our first information board. However, you are unlikely to find all 18 boards if you follow our haphazard approach (as they're not all in the centre of Berwick). Takes you round whole of Berwick and into Tweedmouth also. Very informative and great view points worth doing to see the place and enjoy a walk. Kids will enjoy hunting the info boards.

You do not have to be a fan of Lowry to enjoy this trail, however it is interesting to see how the artist saw the area. This is a lovely walk with a chance to see his work and read the information given😉

Doing the Lowry Trail is a good introduction to parts of the town. We did different parts of the trail on different days. Surprisingly, the TIC does't sell Lowry postcards and apart from this trail, little is made of Lowry.

The perfect trail to follow whatever the weather. Some were easier to find than others as the map was slightly misleading.
