For something unique, beautiful, inspirational and truly local you can't go past a souvenir from the Scriptorium to reflect the essence of the Holy Island. If you miss seeing the work in the shop then their work is available online. They are a little tricky to catch open with unpredictable opening times, but worth the effort if you are on... More

The art work in here is a joy to look at, but it is very religious based which is to be expected given the name of the shop and the place it is situated. However, I would have bought more if she had included other works such as sayings or positive thinking phrases. The artist is missing out on a... More

This shop just sells Christian works of art. Yes they might be original but certainly nothing special and certainly will be of not interest unless you are religious.

We saw the name on the sign & wondered whether we'd see monks writing out illuminated manuscripts (which is what happened in a scriptorium). Instead, we found a collection of artworks produced within the tradition of those friars, at very reasonable prices, with several books of "how-to" explanations, guided artistic retreats & spiritual colouring, along with cards & other gifts.... Absolutely amazing place to purchase Christian material. The art work done by Mary Fleeson is wonderful.

You need to see inside this place. The art work and care that goes into the cards and posters is amazing. give yourself a good time to look through the collection and talk to the folk in there.

The Lindisfarne Scriptorium provides a spiritual touch to the Holy Isle. The books and beautiful artwork on posters and cards are very different from the Celtic art of a bygone era, but there's still a focus on the Christian faith.

Loved many of the items available here, settled for a large postcard size copy of the Hand. My son loved placing a local stone in the display poster of it. Definitely worth a stop-off for anyone visiting Holy Island for spiritual reasons.

Beautiful cards and books and a lovely atmosphere. Love the notice "if it's a nice day we are closed and on the beach with the kids"

Wonderful artwork inspired by the Lindisfarne Gospels and a living Christian faith. Take some home to be reminded of a very special place and to be inspired by a beautiful combination of Celtic designs and bible verses.
