A lovely church on the main road out of Morpeth which is often overlooked. It is well known for the grave in the churchyard of Emily Wilding Davison but the interior of the church also has some fascinating features including an exceptional medieval Jesse stained glass window. Well worth a visit on the occasions when it is open, most likely during the Heritage weekend.

Lovely church obviously with a great heritage. Vehicular entry somewhat hazardous through a housing estate and narrow entry to graveyard.

I thought with the release of the film Suffragette to hi light this gem of a church which holds Emily Wilding Davison' remains. Its sometimes hard when visiting Morpeth to remember this place and the history associated with it. Sometimes you need to get off the beaten track and take it all in. I can't begin to elude to the history but offer you to look at the website and go judge for yourselves. Parking can be troublesome (unless you pop into the adjacent pub), and it is a walk from the town centre.
