    Lunchtime at the Schooner. Seahouses.
We had a lunchtime drink at the Schooner. Proper Pub, not a restaurant that sells drinks. Very welcoming, Friendly barman, Reasonable prices. Pint of Ale, Half pint lager, packet of crisps and packet of pork scratching £8:95. And a dish of water for my Staffie. Highly Recommended — Paul Reynolds.

In defence of staff and locals
Raining badly here so thought I would check a few places we intend to visit when next on our travels. Have been in the Schooner multiple times when we are in Seahouses with our motorhome.. The staff and customers have always been nothing but friendly towards us. We do respect we are visitors in their pub so living in a tourist destination ourselves we do cut them a bit of slack. Only one customer a small middle aged guy seemed reluctant to allow us to get to the bar other than that the general banter in the pub is great.

    A Real Pub
We have just returned from our annual winter break in Seahouses. As usual we visited the Schooner Inn. This is a real pub, frequented by many locals. The welcome is always warm and friendly. The Scooner is a warm unpretentious proper pub. Catherine, the landlady is very hospitable and welcoming. The drinks are reasonably priced and there is also an"happy hour". We will be back to visit next year.

    Lovely local pub
Lovely local pub, cheaper prices than the other chain pubs in Seahouses. Fantastic entertainment that didn’t disappoint. Extremely busy & barmaids worked non stop - they deserved a medal! One of them was only helping the Landlady out, what a star 🌟 Only negatives of this pub is no outside area and inside becomes unbelievably hot 🥵 needs air conditioning or fans in spring/summer!

Lively pub and friendly staff but no real ales on offer.
There didn’t appear to be any real ale pumps so it’s probably never has real ale

The only genuine pub in Seahouses. Not pretentious, the staff are friendly, the locals also. We go here whenever we're up in Seahouses.

Only was going to go in for one drink but had a great welcoming atmosphere and very reasonably priced so ended up staying for the night. Dog friendly and a great classic pub

Great dog friendly pub with live sports and music. Best value in Seahouses by far. Always guaranteed a warm welcome and the Thursday quiz is great fun!

We called in whilst there at Christmas
Not the most welcoming pub the barman never smiled quite rude, the pub appeared to be more for locals which isn't a problem but would have been nice to have felt less un welcomed! we was paying customers aswell
