We rented Dunsdale House for 5 nights - right up the Valley under Bizzle Crags, and at least a mile from any other dwelling, absolute peace and quiet except for the wonderful bird life (ring ouzel, whinchat, snipe, dipper, peregrine, cuckoo all close by the...More

This was a beautiful rural location for a wedding. Slightly difficult to get to along a long single lane road but once there the views were spectacular and we had a lovely time.

There aren't many valleys that you need a permit to drive down si that alone tells you its probably going to be quiet in the College Valley. You don't need a permit because you can park at Hethpool and wherever you walk if you like...More

Went to a wedding there - super location but you will need a permit to drive up College Valley unless you are attending a function or staying there. It looks like a super starting point for walkers but beware - there is no mobile signal!
