Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The beer is always excellent, the service friendly and this historic pub (dating from 1726, recently refurbished) is a great place to spend time. The roof garden is recommended, weather permitting!

What more can you say about The Robin? I first visited this pub in the 1970s when it was a very different establishment. It has always been a favourite of mine in the locality but these days is clearly the best pub in the area by a distance.

The unfailingly friendly, welcoming and knowledgable staff are a great asset to the pub and part of what is always a relaxing and enjoyable visit for its nice mix of clientele.

Drinks are top class with a fine range of ales and ciders in particular. The decor and furnishing is warm, cosy and pleasant to spend a little time in. Excellent live music is a feature of the pub on certain evenings. The landord and his team do a fantastic job in the way they run the Robin Hood.

For historians, the Robin is arguably the oldest exisiting pub in the area being a former coaching inn and adorning the wall is an attractive mural displaying the pub's past and its ownners with research provided by that most excellent local historian. Bob Massey who often provides history talks in the pub.

If you should find yourself in the Arnold area, don't hesitate, give the Robin a little visit, you won't regret it

Popped in last night for the first time since it was taken over by Lincoln Green. Lovely friendly bar staff and very knowledgeable about the beers, the young girl is a credit to your team.

Excellent choice of beers and ciders , friendly welcome and service , bit noisy has every one trying to talk over each other , then the sat singing act kicked up in a room to small to take the sound but every one was enjoying there selves. craft beers are all ways served just cold , (brewery recommendation) but most people like ice cold beer when pulled, I am sure they would sell more, they never listen to the majority. Overall a nice welcoming pub

Thanks for the review, we just want to be sure it is for us?We are a real ale pub in Arnold rather than a restaurant but do have friendly staff and a lovely snack menu to offer but wouldn't want to take someone's review if it is meant for another great place nearby that is a restaurant🍻

What a great pub! Lots of ales and ciders available. The landlord and other staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The place has a really good atmosphere, and people enjoy themselves without any hassle. There's often entertainment on, one of them being a lovely lady named Christine, who plays the harp.
