Closed and for sale. Hope the new owners do better at customer relations. Had some design done some years back and most of their plants died quickly.

After going downhill over a period of time, this is now closed (both restaurant and garden centre). It seem they want to build lots of houses on the plot. If you're looking for something local, try The Crazy Bear (expensive) or The Coach and Horses...More

A nice morning out, with some good plants. It's good if you want some unusual phalaenopsis orchids as there are lots of colours you can't find in mainstream shops, but the range of other orchid species is very limited.More

Thank you for your review. We are very proud of our range of large, mature specimen trees and shrubs. All of our Phalaenopsis orchids are grown here in the UK. Unfortunately we no longer feature the range of other species due to lack of demand....More

Very impressed with the price and quality of perennial plants, box hedging, topiary and trees purchased from Newington Nurseries. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Café looks great must try next time I call.

Please note the name if you are looking for reviews of the (excellent) café/restaurant here. I looked for reviews yesterday and could not find it as I did not know the name. Orchid House setting is lovely too!

very overpriced, drab, run down, advertising as a Chelsea flower show gold winner, in not sure if the people who won it are still there as it was many years ago and no evidence of anything like the standard required here.More

This is a 'garden centre' with a difference - it felt almost like a mini 'Eden Project'. We wandered around the lush outdoor area and felt in another world. The experience is continued in the restaurant too where we had a choice of delicious cakes...More
