Was shocked to read the last review someone left of this wonderful little gem of a shop in Witney. My experience has always been one of pleasure and wonderment. Maybe some people just like to grumble? ! Beautiful shop with great products, lots to look at and plenty of choice. All the staff are always helpful and friendly. The staff had masks on and there is a large screen at the till point, so understandably at the till point it is a bit difficult to communicate due to COVID.

Disappointing, whilst well Stocked and interesting, the display candle I picked up was filthy with dust and had no fragrance.a little off putting. The basic service however, the point of this review. Nevertheless I proceeded to purchase a few items and proceeded to the till. The customer in front said to the assistant she was pleased that the shop had reopened and wished the assistant success to which she replied. I hope so too. I would have loved to have echoed the customer comment or even heard a Thank you from the assistant, owner? She silently processed the items and the just stood looking. I appreciate a mask doesn't help, however, I had to ask how much to which she replied with the amount for the several items I purchased. Dismayed at the assistants lack of interaction I prompted her with a please which she added unfazed. After I paid the assistant, she pointedly said thankyou with some petulance. Although I replied same and said a goodbye, I never sadly heard the assistant reply with any encouragement to return and to support success. My sister in law a regular visitor was gobsmacked at the lack of manners, a far cry for a high street a little further away and couldn't do enough and had clean shelves! Gosh, what ever happened to a basic greeting , please and Thank you at the till. Such complacency!

Very nice local shop with beautiful decorative items, in the middle of town it is easy to get to, the shop is a little small but I guess that's what makes it cute! Item are a little pricey but all good quality so what you would expect. Definitely recommend for gifts.

My teenage daughter absolutely loves this place and our cottage is scattered with testimonials to that fact; little wooden cut-outs with bromides/homilies/call them waht you will, such as, 'Life is one great adventure or nothing at all'. I'd agree with that by the way. The shop typifies in many respects the unspolied natural charm of the lovely market town of Witney, with its nice complement of typical high street stores and great independents, coupled to fine hostelleries and eateries.
