Simple things in life can bring the most pleasure and remind you of the everyday things we miss in the hustle and bustle of modern life. The teams correspsondence before we arrived with Caitlin and LucieAnne was superb, speedy and welcoming. We arrived to our yurt overlooking the fishing pond with our boat moored and ready to go when we... More

We visited Walcot Hall on an Open Day and really enjoyed looking round. There are lots of interesting and unusual things to see, and I particularly liked seeing the portrait of the children, posed in the living room, in a traditional way, then later seeing the children themselves, busy on the computer while the guests looked round. The old ballroom,... More

Site has many and various cottages, houses, rooms. Great for large family gatherings with loads of outdoor areas, lakes, gardens. One can only imagine the hall in its glorious times with lots of service staff and supporting farm workers living in the staff homes. The Garden House and cottage called Harold were warm, clean and comfortable. If you prefer modern city hotels, this stately... More

Recently visited for a family wedding. A stunning venue which helped created a memorable wedding day. If staying for the weekend the cottages have a lovely warm feel however the art work on the walls are a little off putting and are likely to be found in a scary movie.

Held my Daughters Wedding at Walcott hall. I have nothing but praise for the venue and help given by the Staff. Lucieanne is a treasure nothing was any trouble for her and she was always available during the whole weekend. I recommend Walcott Hall to all as a Wedding reception venue

After attending a wedding there recently, I would say that the house is most disappointing and looks much better on the website.

Fab. Very unique and quirky but so relaxing. We were fortunate with the weather and so ate and cooked outside. Review might have been different if we were cooped up inside. Would thoroughly recommend if you want something different.

Gutted. The campsite is gorgeous, small, clean and a great shower block. HOWEVER, and it is sadly a big however. The campsite is on the entrance road to the hall itself and the hall has functions most evenings, especially at weekends (weddings etc). This means that when camping you are subject to sustained traffic noise to the hall between around... More

Very nice caravan site behind the Powis Arms, holiday cottages and yurts/gypsy caravans can also be booked. Lovely parkland and a stunning arboretum, fishing on their scenic lakes can be arranged.

Was shocked at our arrival , greeted by angry dogs in hallway , guineapig in dark corridors and fusty smell , obviously a place for dog walkers but surely all guests would like a clean room ? The dust was inches thick , plug sockets dirty and hairy , cobwebs and thick dust everywhere , lampshades disgraceful , ripped settee... More
