Burrow Mump gives a fantastic viewing point of the Somerset levels. Its shape is a complete contrast to the levels. Best times to visit are either early morning or evening to watch the sun rise or set.

Burrow Mump is a nice location to go and get so fresh air and see for miles around the location and to remove those Christmas Cobwebs before the onslaught of New Years Eve.

Burrow Mump is only a few miles from where I live, but you can see it from a long way off. Nice bit of history but you really must make the climb to the top, the views around the Somerset Levels are amazing, make sure to take your camera with you, though no photos really do the views that your... I do not advise tackling this after rain as I did, as I ended up flat on my face. My husband(after he stopped laughing) reached the top and really admired the view and atmosphere. There is parking at the foot so if you cannot manage the steep climb you can admire it from below.

If you have the energy to climb to the top of this mound ,you will have views of the bridgewater flats. It might not be as impressive as the tor but worth the climb. No steps but a steep slope and good shoes need .small parking area .

Lived in somerset for years and never actually went up burrow mump, so feeling i could take on the steep hill, i ventured up. A steep steep walk and you may soon realise how unfit you are , i know i did. The views at the top are wonderful. The sky was blue. I could see glastonbury tor, albeit a... More

Tremendous views of the levels. You can see why the newsmen use it to film and photograph the floods when they happen.
