Over the course of the year the Mermaid statue has mysteriously appeared and disappeared from various perches at random, no doubt soon to return wearing a Christmas hat?

We had a walk along the front from the pier end towards Poets Walk and were both very impressed with just how pretty Clevedon seafront is. The park with its little miniature railway lapping, the views out to Wales, and the Poets Walk, the latter gives the best...More

Early October and the locals were swimming in the Marine Lake. Lovely bit of local history. There is an interesting short walk just to the South, the Poets Walk.

Sitting just along from the seafront it is absolutely fascinating. Approximately 250 metres long it makes for a great place for open water swimming.

went to Clevedon for a walk along the sea front and what a lovely surprise. The once dejected Lido has had a makeover and is now 'The Marine Lake', and is used by sports enthusiasts and 'wild' swimmers alike. There were about half a dozen...More

When families visit Weston and the tide is out, just take the kids to marine lake where the tide is always in, its safe and plenty of sand to play on.

We live in the US. We do not have these types of facilities. What an incredible place to swim and spend time with your family. LOVED it.

Visited here a few times during our stay in Clevedon, mainly to crabfish but enjoyed watching everyone swimming and playing in the lake or using floats and dinghys. Could do with a bit of a clean but didn't seem to bother anyone swimming in it.
