Everybody love steam trains so we decided to take our Grandkids for a trip, they thoroughly enjoyed it. We only went from Minehead to Watchet, where they went fossil hunting on the fossil beach, and then back to Minehead. They had a great day.

Friendly staff and an interesting station. Feels like you've woken up in 1952! Not much choice in the shop.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day chugging through the Somerset countryside on this trip down memory lane, paid for largely by using some Tesco vouchers. The attraction is mainly run by volunteers who we found most friendly and informative. With careful planning you can hop on and off at the various stops along the way and visit the local village some... More

I see many of the reviews posted here appear to be for the West Somerset Railway in general and not specifically for the museum at Washford. I travelled to Washford by train to then walk back to Watchet along the route of the old mineral railway. On the day of my visit the Station Museum was closed but by good... More

We bought a Freedom of the line ticket which was valid for 7 days and it worked out a good deal we used it about 3 or 4 times in the week. Lovely scenery and enjoyed the steam train ride

this little museum is situated within washford station on the west somerset railway. There are lots of exhibits all about the S & D line as well as some exterior rolling stock and buildings to look at. If you time it right you may be there when one of the steam trains rolls into the station on its way to... More

Small museum at Washford station on the West Somerset Railway. A small room with good information and exhibits, do cross the line and see the restored carriage in the shed and the goods trucks. You may be lucky and see an engine in steam, there seems to be a tank engine based here.
