Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s not often that I write reviews but; when a business excels than it has to be mentioned.
Very cleverly managed behind the scenes, very well trained staff with clear guidelines snd ‘daily task lists.’ It’s not rocket science it’s basic management.
Another couple of essential likes:
1. Very good ales.
2. Good Clientele / Customer mix.
It’s a beer pub that doesn’t do food and, therefore doesn’t entice young family groups.
Toilets always well maintained and, very ‘Dave’ and ‘Dog Friendly’
It’s not difficult but, rare.

Been here many times now and well worth a mention now. With smile as you enter from the friendly bar staff you feel quite at house and in winter with the fire going it’s heaven. Good selection of draft and hand pulled beers to go at you are spoilt for choice,I do like the bass, well kept. So cheers to the cobbler

We stayed in leek for a couple of nights and found The Cobblers by accident ! It is a really nice traditional pub just of the main precinct. We were met with a warm welcome on the 1st night so much so that we went back in on the second night! A great pit stop on our way back to our hotel. The lovely Hannah even remembered what we had to drink on the 1st night, very impressed ! Would recommend it and Hannah very highly. Thank you very much x Jayne & Terry Stain alias two double G & T's !!!!!!!!

This has to be our favourite pub in town! The staff are always friendly, the choice of drinks is fab and the pub itself is very comfortable and cosy. It can get very busy at weekends but only because it is so popular with locals and tourists alike! Definitely recommend as a place to meet friends before a meal or to sit back for a whole evening - it has a great buzz!

We started frequenting The Cobblers earlier this year and it is now the only pub my Wife and I visit. A comprehensive range of hand pulled beers with lagers and Guinness complemented by Pipers (probably the best crisps in the world) with the option of coffee or non alcoholic drinks (handy for my two months of impending abstinence). A well stocked wine cooler offering very reasonably priced quality wines and staff who are pleasant and helpful make for a comfortable and relaxing pub environment. A real gem in Leek.

The only reason it's so cramped is because it's so popular with locals and visitors. Good for predrinks and meeting friends. Nice staff.

Afraid to say we called at this quaint little pub about two years ago and have hardly left since.
With Pauline in the driving seat and the other girls always with a friendly word it's what Hollywood movies would have done to an English pub.
As a micro brewery it has loads of guest beers and is spotlessly clean with a friendly clientele.
It's dog friendly in the bar....
Don't miss this pub on your next visit to Leek!
