I was taken as something to do for my 30th birthday with my 3 other adult friends. The guide who was showing us around (using her mobile phone for light) didn’t do much apart from re booting software. It’s SOOO basic crawl spaces are dirty and items used for the mission were broken. Each of the rooms had instructions to read out aloud so very poor batching when this could be pre recorded. Lasers don’t record anything if broken your asked at the end how many you think you hit and then they take it off your score. There is no CCTV as the game suggests. We had our photo taken but never got to see it so what was the point. Very disappointing it’s not expensive but don’t bother we were I. And out in a max of 40mins and it could easily have been 20mins in total.

This is the worst escape room I have ever been to. The Covert Sword is definitely not for adults. You had a person guide you through the room who told you all the answers, there was no logic, in fact at one point we all had to press buttons around the room to get through to the next room and then our guide had to open the door herself making the exercise we did redundant. We were told to tidy up each room after we finished an activity and we had to reset the room for players the next morning as we were the last people for the day. They had a leak from in one room from plumbing meaning we had to crawl through a wet tunnel. The 'laser' room would have been fine if our guide was not texting her friends and shining her phone light onto the lights so you could not see the lasers. Save your money.

The arrival was incredibly stressful. Kids running around everywhere and screaming. The desk was unattended and we stood there for a good 5 minutes before someone arrived. The story was very brief and then the narrative once in the game was pretty much none existent. The first room contained a chest freezer and mid game someone came into the room to get some chips out. A lot of the 'tech' is very low tech, USB numberpads and lights. Some of the games were clearly broken, but we were informed that "they have been hacked by the enemy". Some of the crawl spaces are insanely small, making it tough for adults to get around, with a single piece of loose lino protecting your knees from a very dirty concrete floor. Towards the end, there was a piece of metal jutting out of the wall, with a bit of blue foam on it, so you dont hurt yourself. We got a certificate, but it was just a bad photocopy, with the right hand side completely missing, with all the badges on it, and a pen was used to tick the ones we were awarded. The staff member who was our guide was lacking a lot of training. There were job adverts in the window asking for dynamic people.... ours was not. It also said a uniform was provided for the successful candidate, but all the staff were wearing different clothes, mostly jogging bottoms and dirty t shirts. Its disappointing and the cost was relatively cheap. And the concept has huge potential, it's just been very poorly executed and not maintained. It would require very little to get this place to a high standard, but it's clear that nobody really cares.

Very disappointed with the escape room. The Covert Sword game on website mentioned that its suitable for adults but it was very basic and for kids level. Even during the game there were no proper instructions aboutWe went as a group of 7 and felt like waste of money 90 bucks and time. The website should be more informative and mark this as suitable for kids. Wont recommend this to any of my friends.

I took my son here for the family experience. I found it poor compared to other escape rooms we have done. You are told what to do rather than working it out for yourself, the staff weren’t great and the equipment was faulty- there was quite a lot of waiting/ rebooting. Cheap for an escape room but this was reflected in our experience. Not recommended
