No charge for any of these activities all were free, museum is easy to find on the 1st floor & has exhibits dating back to 1800, which include an Anderson air raid shelter, an example of an atmospheric railway, a 'Bubble car' & black & white movies. On the ground floor there is a Resco gallery exhibiting Chinese ceramics with... More

Easy to find (in the main Croydon library building) small museum that gives information on past local events and celebrities. Good intro to museums for children. You really need to know the location of Croydon to local areas to understand the importance in aviation history and relevance to the war.

It was nice to find out new things about the town that I have lived in most of my life and to remember and relive others that had been forgotten. It is a nice roomy environment but could probably benefit from a few more bits and bobs to make it a longer visit

The museum itself is probably great, I just couldn't find it. It was badly signposted and as I was on foot, I didn't have a sat nav to guide me. Ive read good reviews though so perhaps it is a good place to visit if you can find it.

Just above the Croydon library is a small museum which showcases bits of Croydon history. Well arranged but could do with more exhibits.

A great riposte to anyone who dismisses this part of the world as Chav-ville and producer of the Croydon face lift! Or is too lazy to see beyond high - rise and riots. Croydon has a rich history dating back to the Romans. This is a museum that turns assumptions on their head. I'm particularly facinated by Croydon's association with... More

We were pleasantly surprised. The exhibition takes you through the history of Croydon from "Then" in the 1890s to 1970s to "Now" the 1980s to present day. Exhibits are presented well & the touch screens give you their back story, often accompanied with an audio clip which brings it to life. All in all a good way to spend an... More

For those who didn't know that Croydon has a museum you will find it hidden in Katherine Street, sandwiched between the Public Library snd the Old Town Hall. All three venues deserve a visit, but this review is about the Museum. Staffed by very enthusiastic 'keepers" the exhibits are sparse and seemingly concentrate on the more recent aspects of Croydon... More
