A location in a few films (The Huntsman, The Mummy, 28 days later,...) the ruins Waverley Abbey are quite haunting. At the entrance is a WW2 gun emplacement - must have been a big gun too. It's a nice walk from Farnham following part of...More

Atmospheric Ruin in a Pretty Setting. One of the filming locations for "Hot Fuzz". Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Spent a good couple of hours here in the sun, walked up from Tilford green with the dogs and kids. Lovely place to visit lots of history and the ruins give a great impression of what it would have looked like

Came her on a walk from Tilbury and it was so beautiful here! Such a great hidden gem, the site is really well maintained and the boards really helped to understand the history of the site. Brilliant spot for a picnic!

It's a lovely spot for a short walk and it's really fascinating how some areas are so intact but others are just rubble. There isn't a very large car park but it's a really quiet spot and would be a good place for a picnic.

It is often possible to walk around Waverley Abbey totally on your own, whatever time of day or season you visit. Even the walk up to the site is pretty, with the path running along the river bank. There are a number of information boards...More

Been coming here on and off for last 20 years and it always enchants. The walk from car park along the river is a delight. Great for spotting wildlife and meadow flowers. The Abbey ruin itself is always mysteriously intresting.
