I have visited Alice Holt a number of times now with my family (6&7 year old) and it is always an absolute pleasure. There are plenty of trails with stops for the kids to play on the way round. You can hire a bike if you fancy (not sure of the cost) and have a pit stop at the cafe... More

Great way to engage young children familiar with the Stickman book & BBC film. Pleasant short walk through the forest, trail is clearly marked & can be as involved as one wants. Cafe was ok, with standard fare & prices. Very enjoyable 2 hours.

Lovely woodland walks and wooden statues along the way for kids and adults to play on. Good playground area and cafe fine. Thought car parking a little over priced.

Took our Julia Donaldson mad young boys on the Stick Man and Gruffalo trail. Lovely walk lasted about 90 minutes and the kids were delighted to find the statues. The park is beautiful and we had a great time. Only slightly spoilt by other people, their kids (running off) and their dogs (not on leads)

Went for a walk - the wooden structures in the woods are good for young kids. A shame about the many dogs off the lead with owners who don't seem able to control them. The cafe is expensive and decidedly average.

Alice Holt is a great place to go for a walk with your dog. The discovery pass is fantastic for parking. I'm using Alice Holt to get my puppy used to other dogs and it's been great.

We visited on a typical December day, rain and then some sun so definitely need wellington boots. My grandchildren really enjoyed the Stickman signed walk, plenty of educative ,entertaining ideas along the way, but also had huge fun just roaming in the trees and splashing in the puddles. The more serious side of the Forestry Commission is trying to do... More

What can you say. It's a wood with trees and other forms of vegetation. Probably quite a lot of wildlife but you'd have to find a time when there's not so many screaming kids about.

Got really excited about this after the success of the Gruffalo trail. Boy such a disappointment. Instead of making a new trail they recycled the Gruffalo one! So the older children of the group (having done the Gruffalo trail before) became confused. The activity pack is not worth £3. The parking is horrendously expensive it cost me £3 for 2... More
