About
An interesting, fun and informative guided walk about Kingston's rich history. We go back to the Anglo Saxons and finish with present day. We meet under the Golden Queen outside the Market House in the market place at 11.00 on every Sunday in the summer and the first Sunday in the month in the winter. It is suitable for all ages and we go at a leisurely pace. We would love to see you there and share with you Kingston’s rich heritage.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What an insightful tour. Very familiar with Kingston, or so I thought, until going on the tour. The enthusiasm of Julian our guide was second to none. If you love history, this is for you. Would highly recommend.

Excellent! I’ve visited Kingston so many times and never appreciated its fascinating history. Our guide, Julian, was very knowledgeable and passionate, that he made it a very worthwhile two hours. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a couple of hours in Kingston. I look forward to joining the new tours when they are ad

I’ve lived around the area for decades and never knew how important the royal borough was. Did you know it was once an island? Join this free tour, bring water. It’s quite long but sooo interesting. Well done guides

On a very hot September Sunday (32DegC!) we were expertly guided around the key spots of Kingston, reflecting the history - ancient and modern - of a town nearby where I grew up. The 2 hour tour was conducted at a pace suitable to all participants and mindful of potential 'comfort breaks'. Out guide was clear in speaking to a large group in circumstances that could be hampered in a town full of noisy Sunday shoppers. I discovered many facts about Kingston that I was unaware of.

A very good and interesting walk on a very hot day today with Julian. His knowledge is vast and I feel I have gained a wealth of knowledge about Kingston that I did not know, including some quirky and unusual things.

As part of a team away day, we had the pleasure of being taken on a tour around Kingston by two fantastic guides - Julian and David. We were split into two groups and were guided around town with so much knowledge, enthusiasm as well as humour. We work in such a fantastic borough and we now know so many more quirky, interesting and mind blowing facts about it. Julian and David really made history come alive and we thoroughly enjoyed it and can highly recommend the tour. Thank you Julian and David!

Bernadette, our guide, was knowledgeable, interesting and clear. We hadn’t been on one of these before and learned so much about Kingston’s history that we had just walked by day after day. Highly recommend this tour!

We had an amazing experience for 2 1/2 hours with Shiela who took us around the history of Anglo Saxon history through to Edwardian England.

Amazing and knowledgeable tour guides by David. The tour lasted about 2 hrs but could be continued because there are so many things to tell! I wish I could spend more time and definitely will visit and sign up for the tour by different guides again.
