We all had different dishes and we all loved them. There was a bit of a wait but several members of staff had called in sick. I thought there staff that were in did well considering the number of customers. The staff were all very polite and helpful. I will be going back soon, fantastic food.

Very please to say that after 3 months, the Grotto has now re-opened under new management. The place has been refreshed inside and looks inviting. Menu concentrates on seafood but with traditional mains. A new cake bar has been opened and I noticed apple pie and ice cream advertised. Excellent for traditionalists. Fab views across to Marsden Rock. After the... More

On a trip to the north-east brought family members here with a rave description of the bay, the stacks and the lift down to the café. Placards in the car park advertised food available all day. We had all paid for parking before we discovered that the lift was not working and the café was closed. We tried the steps... More

Followed the signs saying serving food all day everyday, paid for the car park, walked down the cliff path to find everything locked up on the beach. Disgusted, made a diversion from our trip to Edinburgh to come here and there wasn't even a sign in the car park explaining it was closed.
