Nice area for swimming, bonding for family. However hope there will be good maintenance of the portalet. That's the only thing which needs to be improved . Heaps of crAbs for those who are crab lovers

The sand and water are very clean, it is family friendly and even though it was a sunny day it was not too crowded. It was a lovely family day out.

Atmospheric beach. Walk or lift to get down, so accessible to all. Pub at beach level called the Marsden Grotto.

Beautiful views no matter what time of year Always clean, lush ice creams when sun is out. Plenty of parking options and lots of grassed areas up from the cliffs- good for fishing too

Not very easy to get onto beach as some of stone steps have eroded but you can get down via grotto steps. Once on the beach it is stunning

Really love walking along the cliffs, it's nice to take dogs and for couples. Loads of places to park and even places to stop for something to eat.

Loved the view over the sea. Quite bracing but saw surfers! Lots of dogs making the most of the freedom before the ban in summer.

It was a beautiful clear, cold, blustery day for a drive to Marsden, but worth it. You could see for miles and miles!

Yup Colmans is the best, there are several seafront pubs at Shields where you can sit at outside tables and your dog will be happy. Some beach restrictions of course.
