Went here today for a look around whilst in the South Shields area. I have not been here for many years since I was little and it was good then. But fast forward to 2015 and absolutely nothing has changed. In fact everything looks outdated The place looks very dirty and the rides are just plain boring. And when they... More

There was seven of us on a family day out and we had decided to stop off here on the way home to let my 18 month old Granddaughter have her first taste of a fun fair. My daughter decided to take her on a little ride which was a Coca Cola type sit on truck. We must have waited... More

Thank you for your review. I would firstly like to apologise for your wait on the ride the children chose to go on - I would be grateful if you could email me at info@oceanbeach.co.uk and let me know exactly which ride this was (or what it was next to) so that I can speak to the owner about this... We bought the girls wristbands and they certainly got enough rides to justify the outlay. The thing I was pleased with was the fact that the rides lasted about 5 minutes, so you felt the queue was worth it. The longest we had to wait was about 10 minutes for the surfer. The rides are not the scariest, but they... More

I have a mix of age groups of children, there was alot more to do for younger children than the older ones but still ok , wrist bands are a good idea for the older ones as this does work out cheaper , there is plenty to do on the park for a couple of hours and theres a nice... More

Thank you for your review. Wristbands are a great way to keep the older kids entertained and are great value for money. As for the fish & chips - you can't come to the beach and not have them. Glad to hear you had a good day. More

We came here after an over night stay in Newcastle and was so plesantly suprised! We've told all our friends about this place and will be making frequent trips. The beach was lovely and golden and was so clean and tidy, the pleasure park is just an added bonus in my eyes, a fun place to take the kids or... More

Had a good half day out with the kids. Some pleasant staff but others looked bored to be there. We enjoyed the rides that were there but if they had a better variety then maybe the half day could have been extended.

Had a good afternoon here today,, but you do have to watch the pennies. When taking 4 neices to the fair ,, 25 doesnt go into 4!! So then had to buy the odd extra tokens to make a fair trip for the girls. I have to agree with other comments,, the toilets are not very nice. I think there... More

Thank you for your review. With regards to ride tickets, we do have discounted ride tickets which you can purchase online (50 for £15) or wristbands for the older kids which are great value. The toilets are operated by the Council however we will be passing the comments on about this. Glad to hear you had a good day. More

My own downfall about the day is the price of the tickets. £20 buys 50 tickets or £10 buys 25 tickets. Some rides are 5 each. When you have 2 young children they dont last long. Also my youngest daughter is 3 and she had to ride with an adult or a child to look after her but that child... More
