A beautiful location for a relaxed day walking around and taking in the numerous wildfowl species and of course the family of otters. The staff are always helpful and the site is developing well. An excellent day out

Great day out with the kids, watching the animals get fed, and feeding some birds. We loved the otters and enjoyed learning more about the flamingoes. The food in the cafe was great and there were plenty of choices. My daughter enjoyed feeding the birds in the designated areas. I was nice to see these areas have been greatly improved... More

A wonderful all year round attraction that changes with the seasons and the weather. Most recent visits (visited twice) was for a Christmas blowing off of the cobwebs over the Christmas period.

We've been meaning to go here for a while. It was well worth the visit. Not a cheap day but all proceeds support the wildlife conservation work. The children really enjoyed feeding the birds especially the geese which took the feed direct from your hand. Sadly the flamingoes stayed indoors due to the cold weather. Highlights included seeing a kingfisher... More

Thanks so much for the review - great to hear that you enjoyed your first visit and that you'll be back! Hand-feeding is so much fun and we're so pleased the children enjoyed it as well as their time in Hawthorn Hide (couldn't you spend hours in there!!) The fact you saw a kingfisher on your first visit is brilliant... More

My wife and I have visited the Wetlands previously but it was so peaceful just to wander around on a sunny autumn afternoon looking at the various species of birds, some of which pass by your feet. Took the opportunity to feed the Hawaiin Geese with seed provided by one of the staff. We had lunch in the café, food... More

Great day out, enjoyed by toddler with lots to see and do, all very well tended to and well presented. Parking is easy, and plenty of spots for picnics alternatively the cafe is really nice.

My husband and I visited on the 23rd October. It was just great - so much to see and do. The staff are informative and attentive, from the shop/ticketing staff to the lovely ladies working in the cafe, who cannot do enough for you. A lovely day out I've visited here many times in my life. With friends and family, I enjoy feeding the birds, seeing the flamingos and walking around the wetlands. The price does seem to have hiked up in the past few years but still a good local activity.
