- LisaGravesend, United Kingdom26 contributionsInteresting museumWhat a fascinating place to spend some time. It’s free but a voluntary contribution if you wish. Firstly it’s in an old pub which is history in itself. On a rainy day we decided to visit, we spent about 1.25 hours reading most things, so glad we did. It’s got so many interesting things about Bognor and history around the wars, olden day trades which you no longer see in the high street, bathing huts and much more. It’s laid out well with lots to read. Whoever is doing the research is doing a brilliant job.The volunteers are friendly and enthusiastic many thanks.Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 August 2023

- Angie BHarrow, United Kingdom23 contributionsMemory Lane in a MuseumNo sooner did we enter the museum we were warmly greeted by Anne, who told us about a Halloween activity they we holding. The museum is such a hidden gem and I am so glad we discovered it. I would urge anyone in the area to pay a visit; you won’t be disappointed. I enjoyed a trip down memory lane thanks to the toys and Christmas decorations displays and the kitchens that reminded me of my grandparents. My daughter loved learning about World War 2 and engaged in the interactive activities around the displays. John then spoke to us about some wonderful places we could visit within our time at Butlins this week. We left feeling so happy and that we had learned something new aswell as enjoyed some quality time together.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 24 October 2023

I would highly recommend anyone visiting Bognor Regis to visit this museum. It’s bigger than you think and has a lot of fascinating exhibits. What’s more, it’s free to enter!

I thoroughly enjoyed my solo visit to this small and charming museum, with enough exhibis to keep you occupied for at least an hour. I particularly enjoyed the old radio sets on display and the old toys and games.

Nice, little museum about Bognor Regis. Have been looking forward to coming here for ages. Enjoyed examining the old aerial photographs to see what buildings there used to be. Entry is free.

Thank you for not only visiting us, but also taking the time to leave us a review. The museum is manned totally by volunteers, and feedback such as this really shows them that their efforts have been worth it.

Pretty much sure there would be no problem with wheelchair access. Why not ring to make sure. Sorry for the late reply

Does the museum have a cafe?
Or coffee machine?
Jason P
Bognor Regis, UK104 contributions
Sorry for the delay in responding. The museum currently does not have a coffee machine or café, but it is hoped that once the 'beach house' project is completed, that we will be able to offer a vending machine to our visitors.

How long will it take to go around the museum?
Jason P
Bognor Regis, UK104 contributions
It does very much depend on the size and age of your party. We have displays of local and social history, and many display boards that give additional information. We would suggest that you allow an hour as this seems to be the average time people spend with us, but this of course could be longer or shorter depending on how interesting you find our displays - which we hope you will find interesting.
