We were amongst several others who joined in the Glow wild walk last Saturday. Although it was cold it was great fun. The lantern walk was very atmospheric with lots of lanterns along the paths. The huge Christmas tree was beautiful. At the end of the walk you have to hand your lantern but can buy a hot chocolate, mulled... More

I visited Wakehurst Place last week and had a very enjoyable day. As I an a Friend of Kew, parking and admission were free, and this was made even better by the free guided walk by a gentleman volunteer called Jim. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and really made our day. Sadly by the time we had had something... More

Visited for autumn colours and it did not disappoint. Beautiful large park with a wide range of trees and formal and less formal gardens. Wide paths means it is good for wheelchair and pushchair access for a big part of the park. It is quite a large park, it didn't feel overcrowded and I could easily spend the whole day... More

A lovely proper and grounds. My husband and I decided to make the hour and a half drive to visit Wakehurst Place and we weren't disappointed. It is a lovely place with a diverse garden. Some formal and others not so formal. We didn't make the whole round trip of the gardens on that day because we didn't have time,... More

As National Trust Members we have visited many times over the years, and the gardens did not disappoint.Even though the autumn colours were a little past their best, there was still plenty to see and enjoy. The same cannot be said for the facilities. We arrived to find what were for us new parking arrangements in place, a barrier with ticket set... More

We missed a lot of the Autumn colours by a week or so but there was still sufficient to ooh and aah at. Nat.Trust members are free but £10 for the car park, if not a member it's ( I think ) £12.50 but the car park is then free. If you are a"friend"it is free admission. There is a... More

A wonderful garden for walking whatever the season. I loved our stroll in the autumn when the trees were a riot of colour. Tree species are mostly labelled which adds interest to the enjoyment. There is a very good cafe and shop in the reception area and another restaurant in the grounds. I am determined to revisit in the spring... More
