Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place to visit any time of year, even in winter. Good for short/long seaside walks.
Close to the town centre, public toilet facilities conveniently located.

Littlehampton beach has so much going for it, better weather than most places in the UK, long and wide beaches with sand and pebbles, lots of facilities and plenty of space. There are quieter stretches as well if you'd prefer to be away from the crowds.

There is one really important point though, STAY AWAY FROM THE ARUN RIVER, so many people get in trouble playing at the edges but it is such a strong and turbulent river, give it a wide berth!

I was shocked at how beautiful this beach is. There is a large expanse of sand when the tide is out so plenty of room to swallow people up and perfect for a relaxing walk to soak up some fresh air.

The beach was very nice but very busy at weekends.we had difficulty finding a good restaurant, but we stumbled upon a new one just opened a few days before.WOW what a truly amazing restaurant. The food was always fresh and cooked to the highest standard.I don’t think we have eaten better meals anywhere ever.We had three separate evening meals there.Plaice fillets, duck leg, pork shin joint, and sea bass fillets. Each meal was cooked to perfection.I would strongly recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes high quality food cooked to a very high standard and very reasonably priced. The only criticism I have is that it is in littlehampton and not local to me in London

We went to Littlehampton as our grandchildren love it so much and we had not been there. So many of the beaches to the east are pebbles - but this one is sandy! We arrived in the evening and had fish and chips on the bank of the River Arun. So we walked on along the beach and then inland back to the car. There is also a large grassy area behind the beach which is also good for the kids.

Had a lovely walk along the beach on a sunny Sunday February morning. We parked at the leisure centre, stopped at The Beach for a bit of brekkie (highly recommend) and then walked down to Littlehampton Harbour Park and back.
Loads of wide open beach to walk along. Lots of dogs running in and out of the water living there best life and families with children happily playing and digging on the beach.
This part of the coast is my go to happy place, lovely to visit winter or summer, you leave with your spirits lifted and a lung full of fresh sea air.

Very pleasantly surprised just how clean and attractive Littlehampton Beach was. It was not the best of days weather wise, but it was a lovely setting, and so good to look out to sea. We were able to make out the Off shore wind farm turbines
The beach itself was a mixture of fine sand and pebbles, and on a better day weather wise, i am certain that the beach would have been very busy. Even on the day we visited with its frequent showers there were cyclists, many walkers, and the occasional child running around, and up the stone beach. It is an attractive beach, made more so by the lack of a busy road, no amusement parks, although green space park were available nearby. Good to see the Wind shelters dating from the 1930's and just the odd beach cafe. It uiis a good walk.
We loved the beach, the rainy weather, less so.....

Never been to Littlehampton before, but this place is beyond my expectations. Lovely seaside town, lots of things to do only couple hours away from London. Sandy beach and lots of beautiful restaurants and very good to bring family with young children and cheap trip too.
